“Awesome in Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Toro is worth the wait. It's loud & crowded for dinner most nights, but the food & drinks are top notch. Always a good experience. If you want to taste the food, but you don't like to wait or can't handle loud crowds...try Toro for lunch. A great spot in a great neighborhood.

“Worth the cab ride!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

We went for Sunday Brunch.
I had read about the long wait, but we arrived on Sunday around 12:45 and it was half empty. Thankfully we sat right down. The music was a nice surprise by being alternative pop and the place was clean and made me feel hip.
Our waiter was very attentive. We got a plate of fresh sour doll bread before ordering.
Ordered: Pork Hash (egg), Annie's Empanadas & a grilled avocado. It was all absolutely delicious! I could taste salt in all of it, but that made me love it even more. The bread was grilled and soooo good.

“Inventive, Smart and darring!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is one of those local gems that you stumble upon. I chose to have lunch at Toro because of their menu but if you are not an adventurous eater, there is still a whole lot for you! The ambiance is great and drinks are the best! Def. check it out!

“Funky Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

If you are into out-of-the-box meal, then this is your place. Honestly, I had the pizza and I cannot have pig ear or pig tail and call it dinner. But the people I was with thought it was great.

“A very popular venue but overrated as far as tapas go.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We found this restaurant's nearby 'sister' restaurant - Coppa - vastly superior to Toro, although we were told Toro would be superb. Well, we've eaten tapas in Spain in various locations, and also here in Sacramento, where we live. The tapas at Toro varied from terrible to wonderful. The service was just fine, and the restaurant is clearly very popular with Bostonians and others, but we wondered whether we just made some poor selections or whether folks just don't know good tapas.
