“Good food good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Great restaurant next to the Hotel Commonwealth. Excellent breakfasts great service. Had both lunch and breakfast here. One lunch we did not have a lot of time and the waiter was able to serve us in a fashion where we never felt rushed, the food was cooked properly and we left with plenty of time to make our appointment. Thank you V for your excellent service!

“Excellent!”

What a nice experience. We stumbled upon this place by accident after going to a game. The service was friendly and the food was great. Will definitely go back again the next time I'm in Boston.

“Easy dinner - always a winner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Went to Eastern Standard for a casual Monday night dinner. For a Monday, it was packed and lively. The food and drinks are always good -- especially the oysters. The staff was friendly and attentive. Fun to top off the evening by sending a postcard from your table.

“Will not be back!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We stopped after a game one night, the host was very polite and seated us; then all downhill from there. Because we had jerseys on we were looked down upon by every staff member that walked passed us. Snubbed in every way possible. Then time for the bill and then a few smiles. I'm sorry but I do not like being look down upon and treated so rudely for an expensive meal which was just ok to begin with - we will never return nor recommend this place. It is ironic that people beside us came in for one drink and shared 6 oysters but were treated with respect because he had jeans and a golf shirt on - our bill was over $100 - so well more than theirs and yet treated like second class citizens!

“A good stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

we wanted a place to eat right near by our hotel, and this place was certainly that. It really is more bar than restaurant, with 3 drinks menus and 1 food menu. however, we each found something we could enjoy eating, so it worked out just fine.
