“A GREAT TRIP”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We used WADE TOURS out of Schenectady for this trip. It was for my significant other mother 90th birthday present. What to you get someone that old.
Anyway the ride out was about an hour and 15 minutes. Then they spent another hour looking for the whales. Then we saw about 3/5 whales. I say that cause I only saw the tale going down on one of them.
We where on the noon time trip. Back at the dock at 4:15pm. Allow your self time on these trips.
The only bad part was it was a little choppy and I didn't get any pictures due to the whales coming up to fast and going down to fast. A good trip.

“Fantastic experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We went on the whale watching trip June 25. My husband and I both took Dramamine because I had read the previous reviews and got nervous that we would be sick. No one on our boat got sick. The ride was fairly smooth. The boat was full but not too crowded. We took a seat outside on the front of the lower level as the upper level outdoor seats were all taken. We saw one fin whale and one humpback whale. We got to watch the humpback whale, Pinball, feed for a while, and she came very close to the boat. At first the whale was on the left side of the boat, and we didn't have a good view, but the driver turned the boat after a while so all could get a good look, which I really appreciated. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I highly recommend it for everyone.

“Best value attraction in Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We went on the New England Aquarium Whale Watch and were not disappointed.
The ship's captain was experienced enough to know where we would see some whales.
We were fortunate enough to see at least one whale and the captain made sure that he allocated enough time for us to see the whale surface and dive quite a number of times.
Seeing the whale at such a close quarter was worth the price that we paid and had we not been lucky enough to see any whales they would have given us a free whale watching trip for another time.
Well worth it.

“nice experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

The travel to the site is a bit exhausting at over an hour and a half each way. The layout of the decks is problematic. They should have a special area just for the kids. When the whales are spotted, the announcer points and everyone runs, and people get pushed around. I was able to see a fin, and part of a tail, because the boat was packed. All I got for pictures was a bunch of people's backs. When the boat was idle in the whale area, a lot of people got seasick. Some people were sleeping, taking up benches, and there was no room to sit. Overall, not a horrible experience, but could be better.

“Bring your own dramamine.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

The New England Aquarium Whale Watch is a fun experience. If you don't see any whales on your trip, they will give you a ticket to return again for free.

I saw several whales on my trip and got some awesome photos.

A few things to remember... 1. no matter what the temperature is outside, the outdoor seats will be COLD. It's worth arriving early, getting in line, and booking it to one of the indoor seats. If you get there early enough, you can get a table, which is useful when your passing time for the hour and a half it takes to get to the whales.
2. If you're prone to seasickness, they no longer sell dramamine on the boat! Some idiot overdosed on the stuff last year, so now, all they are allowed to give out are ginger chews and saltines. So bring some from home, folks!
