It is a very family-oriented atmosphere and activity, but would also make a good first date.

“Too Long!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011

I will start by saying we didn't see anything! However they did give us vouchers for a free return visit, there is NO WAY I would do it again!

The boat ride to the whale grounds is 90 minutes! It is cold outside and rough water. Luckily, we did not get sick but I could see how a person could! There was not enough seating for everyone to sit so we had to stand the entire way out there. Luckily, my husband was able to snag a table for the long ride back to Boston.

We spent about 15 minutes idling around looking for whales and then began our 90 minute journey back to Boston. So not worth my entire afternoon!

“Awesome experience! Stayed near a pair of humpbacks who 'waved' at us!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2011

A wonderful, relaxing, 3-hour boat trip. We loved it! We saw several whales, but followed two humpbacks for quite a while, who kept breaching and diving, and even seemed to be "waving" their side fins at us over and over again! Get there early to get a good seat. We sat on the back under an awning to stay out of the sun, but it was also great to see the whales the best, ' cause it was easy to switch sides as the whales turn up on one side then the other. The captain's area is open so you can go in and ask lots of questions and see their charts, dials etc. They have a small snack bar - hot dogs, popcorn, etc.

“Saw a lot of whales”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011 via mobile

The only downside to this tour was seating. A few to many aboard. Couldn't find a place to sit.

“Guide was a buffoon. Trip was good.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2011

We saw a lot of whales on this trip. The guide "Naturalist" was a fool... My three year old was more scientifically knowledgeable and a better public speaker. She should find another job.
