“authentic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

being from hong kong, I constantly try to look for dim sum that matches home. its' hard to find but this place is pretty close. the haw gow and sui mei was outstanding! 4 diff dishes with tea, total price was $14.95. not too shabby....otherwise it'd be 5 stars
located off the orange line subway chinatown exit almost into the center of china town. also part of the appeal is the food carts that roam around enticing you to order more food. I'd definitely come back next time I am visiting

“Great Dim Sum spot in Boston's Chinatown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2012

I have switched from being a long time fan of China Pearl to a fan of Hei La Moon for Boston Dim Sum. The food is great, but overall I like the location better, mostly due to easier parking, reasonable prices, and food that is as good or better then other Chinatown choices! It can get quite busy on a weekend, or during our last visit on a weekday over Christmas Week, (they have Dim Sum every day!) but I have always been treated well by the friendly staff, even if we do not always share a native language. A great spot!

“A wonderful Dim Sum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2012

This was our first time here, it came recomended fo a local resident hee in Chinatown.
First of all, the parking was easy access and half priced, a bonus! The carts were laden
with all kinds of scrumptious foods. The shrimp was delicious as well as the pork buns
and dumplings. We finished off the meal with a watermellon ball cold soup, very
refreshing! If you have never tried Dim Sum it is worrth the trip into Chinatown!

“Great food and value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

I would have given this 5 stars if their bathrooms weren't so filthy (it seems all the bathrooms in the Boston Chinatown restaurants are all dirty and this is no exception) and the service was better.

We have been going here for years and it hasn't disappointed us yet. This restaurant is large enough with two floors that we usually don't have to wait long if ever. It's also
great for large families as we usually need seating for 30. There is a parking garage upstairs and the restaurant will validate your parking ticket for a discounted price.

We went here twice this past week - once for dim sum and then a few days later for dinner.

For dim sum this restaurant is the best value for its selection and taste in Chinatown. There are so many choices to choose from and you won't be disappointed.

For dinner we had out of town guests with us. They enjoyed the hot pot dishes - shrimp with tofu, and also braised beef. These hot pot dishes are not what you may think of. They are stewed and cooked in a ceramic type container. They are quite tasty with lots of sauce and flavor. Try their fresh seafood, fish dishes too. Vegetables are always fresh in our dishes.

“Busy and delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

My friends and I love going to Hei La Moon for dimsum for brunch on Saturday mornings..the food can feel a little heavy so early BUT with the abundant tea they give you, you can wash it all down! The food is really delicious and there's a good variety!! It's really busy on Saturday mornings which just means that the food rotates really fast and you get really fresh dimsum!!
