“Best Irish food ever eaten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

The Irish trio was my fav. Popular most evenings - really busy after about 7pm so may have to wait awhile.

“Great food, beer, prices and service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

After a day of sight seeing, good food and drink were what we were looking for. The Black Rose is a terrific Irish bar with wonderful menu choices, and a very long list of good draft beers. Our waitress, Tara, served with a smile and made great recommendations. We settled on Shepard's Pie and Sam Adams Red Draft. Portions were good, food was tasty. I would definitely recommend it!

“An awesome Irish experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014 via mobile

St Paddy's weekend
Heard about the Black Rose. Food was Delish. Had the corned beef and cabbage and the bangers and mash! The flags of Ireland surround us . A live Irish band plays. People are very friendly
Loved it and love Boston !

“Great stop for an outstanding Guinness pour!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

While the family shops at Faneuil Hall, sneak in here for a great Guinness! Most of the wait staff is straight off the boat from Ireland.

“LOVE this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This is one of the best, and most fairly priced bars in boston.
Great service, great ambiance, the upstairs fireplace and a whiskey is great in this cold weather.

$16 for a lobster roll and housemade chips (fries) is a bargain for downtown. And it was great.
They have live music all the time which is fantastic.
