Went for espresso, ordered a doppio, got mediocre coffee and a bill for $5. Girlfriend ordered a single shot, got charged $2.50. Sat and waited to order, waited for coffee, waited to pay, while staff sat at the next table chatting. No lock on the restroom door. Just about the least impressive coffee shop we've visited in a long time.

The Tiramisu was great,... REALLY great! ... and the Cappuccino was yummy. The atmosphere was fun... "people watching" fun.

Having lived and worked in the Boston area for several years until 1993, I learned to love cannoli from the North End, and haven't had a decent one since I left. On vacation to Boston a few weeks ago, getting a cannoli was at the top of my list (well, 2nd after Dunkin Donuts coffee). We stopped at Caffe Vittoria mainly because it had a bathroom (with kids, this is almost a necessity). The cannoli was AWESOME! I wish I would have taken some to go. The cappucino was also great. My kids had the gelati and gave it a big thumbs up (and one loved the tiny spoon that came with it). Our service was great...very friendly server. This place seemed to be a favorite of the locals as well. I would definitely go back.

This North End mainstay has been serving food and drinks as long as I can recall and is the perfect place to take friends after eating a dinner in the North End to get a coffee or espresso and possibly gelati or something sweet. I prefer the select few tables and chairs that line Hanover Street so you can enjoy all the people watching. Sadly, this is only open until the midnight hour (12:30am on the weekends).
