“Great room and great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

The studio was perfect! The kitchenette was very pratical for us - it had everything we needed. It even included a ice machine that produced a large quantity if ice - enough to fill a Wine bucket twice. There is a 7Eleven across the street for basic groceries and a few real grocery stores in fairly close vicinty. The studio also included a full sized umbrella and a full sized ironing board + iron. The AC worked fine but the windows could also be opened for people who dislike using the AC. You are given access codes to open the front door as well as the studio door so no fumbling around for a room key. Excellent restaurants and bars around the studios. We would definitely book there again.

Our last minute decision to stay at the Chandler Studios was a great one! It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Boston which was a major bonus but the staff and well decorated room is really what made it great. I fell in love with our studio the moment I walked in. It did not feel like you were at a hotel at all. We came for a visit during gay pride and they gave us free tickets to the block party which was great. The restaurant and bar staff and food was great too. I highly recommend staying here.

I booked this suite not knowing the location or condition of the building........here's the scoop.
The suites have been renovated with quality furniture and fixtures. The suite was not overly large but everything needed for a short term stay. The interior finishings were of pure quality, great bed, quality flooring, amazing bathroom with shower.
The location is just outside of the downtown centre. We walked from the downtown to the suites in about 30 minutes. The good news is a taxi will only cost you $10 for a ride downtown.

Overall - 100% satisfaction

This hotel offers a great combination of value, location, and distinctive style. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms very chic. The kitchen was surprisingly complete. We chose a street view room and would do it again - there was minimal noise. The Back Bay and the Theater District are a short walk away. No car is needed, but if you have one, there's a small private parking lot right behind the hotel - call ahead if you'll need it.

We were in Boston visiting friends after leaving 25 years ago. We wanted to stay where we could walk or take the T as we did not want to have to deal with a car. This hotel is small and tucked into a wonderful neighborhood just south of the Prudential Center and Copley Plaza. It is two blocks from the Back Bay T station and Amtrak station. It is a short walk from Boylston St, Newberry St and all the restaurants and shops. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated with wonderful little amenities. For example, the lighting can be set to your preference and then saved on a master switch. Our suite had a mini frig, stove top and microwave for those who prefer not to eat out every meal. The staff is very friendly. Comparing the daily rate to other chain hotels in the neighborhood, this hotel is a great value.

Room Tip: Our room looked out over the back yards of the local homes, which we really liked. Other rooms would...

My friend and I stayed at the Studio for a week while visiting Boston. The room is very comfortable especially the beds. We could never sleep well when we are in vacation, but my friend and I had no problem this time. In the morning we sat at the little table, enjoyed our coffee before we headed out to our busy day.

The Studio is located within walking distance to everything, the Copley Place, Prudential Centre, Trinity Church, John Hancock Tower, Newbury Street, Christian Science Plaza, Christian Science Church, Mary Baker Eddy Library, Boston Public Library, Mapparium. We were able to walk to the Public Garden, Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Mike's Bakery in Little Italy. There is a nice bakery close by calls Flour, not far from the Black Bay Station, which is our favorite breakfast place. You can also walk to Tremont Street, where you can find really good restaurants.

I definitely recommend this hotel to everybody, including my husband who is very fussy with hotels. I couldn't wait to return again. Thanks to the friendly staffs who make us feel at home.

These rooms are large and beautifully appointed. They include a kitchenette with a two burner stove, microwave and fridge. I really liked the private parking in the back accessible through the electronic gate. There are only 4 spaces so you have to reserve but you can come and go as you like unlike regular parking lots. First class

Room Tip: If you want it perfectly quiet ask for a room facing the back.
