Description: Fogo de ChaoR (fo-go dee shoun), is an authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse. In 1979, FogoR began sharing the gaucho way of preparing meat in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Today, our gaucho chefs still expertly grill each of our 16 cuts of meat and offer you continuous tableside service. We invite you to enjoy the delicious preparations of our gaucho chefs along with our gourmet salad bar, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list.

“almost perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

If you are willing to eat a hole cow, you have to go. Once you put the green tag, the waiters will serve you any cut, plus pork and chicken. As they cook the meat with gas not with embers, the taste is somehow different from what I know down in my home country.
I suggest you should not miss the salad bar also!
The price is ok.

“Wonderful. What a delight.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Perfect addition to the Boston dining scene. The Salad bar is the best i have ever seen. It's so rich, including cheese, Serrana ham, veggies etc.... The meat and sausage selection is great and their signature drink is Amazing. Will surely go back and maybe just do the salad bar.. Service was nice and attentive.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Myself and a group of friends from work had a team dinner at Fogo de Chao. The food and service was outstanding. It is a fun environment to eat in, love all the variety and it definitely redefines all you can eat. Great place, would certainly go again

“Brazilian "churrasco" at its best in Boston!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

After visiting Fogo de Chao at other locations (Dallas, D.C., Indianapolis and Philadelphia), I've decided to check the newest restaurant of this excellent brazilian chain. We were there the day after opening and had a great time.

If you are a meat-lover, this is the place for you. But if you think the all-you-can-eat system has the potential to impact your dining experience, you will be pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service provided by the staff. It's without a doubt, one of the best services I have ever had in a restaurant. It's also consistent between all the locations I've visited.

Location
-------------

The location is very central, attached to the Westin Hotel, with views of Copley Square. It's very convenient for anyone staying around the Prudential Center. You can walk there using the fairly extension walkways that connect the surrounding buildings to the Prudential complex. Valet was around $15 with the added feature that you can text your ticket number to get your car retrieved in advance. Pretty neat!

Food
---------
Fogo serves all-you-can-eat Brazilian "churrasco", salad bar and traditional brazilian sides. The salad bar has a nice selection of greens, cheeses, cold cuts and a brazilian favorite: hearts of palm. You better try it. The sides are also well prepared.

The main feature of the meal is the meat, which is served by the "gauchos", who are the waiters/chefs in charge of preparing and serving the delicious cuts.

The selection of meats is great, besides the traditionals picanha and filet mignon, you must try the lamb t-bone steak, it's from another world!! Ask for the off-the-menu mint jelly to go with the lamb, the combination of flavors is very unique.

For dessert, the papaya cream is the must try. It helps you digest all that meat that you just ate.

Drinks
----------
The "caipirinha" is the signature drink (sugar cane alcohol - cachaça, lime and sugar), however they also have an outstanding wine list with selections from all over the world. We tried a brazilian wine that was very good.

Fogo de Chao continue to impress. Besides being a nice place for a date, it's also great to take your family and friends. Highly recommended!
