“Terrific North End Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

No reservations, no credit cards, no table cloths - no problem. Small restaurant, you may be waiting in line (outside) for a while, and you may be seated very close to fellow diners, like small family restaurants in Italy. All well worth it - the food is terrific, the prices are very reasonable, fellow diners are generally friendly, the service is efficient and quick but not pushy. This is where we go when we are in Boston for an evening.

“I dream of Zuppa di Pesce House Special!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Was here 2 weeks ago during a short trip to Boston and my mouth still salivates when I think of the House Special - Zuppa Di Pesce ($55). And for an extra $10, the dish came with a bottle of white or red wine. This dish says dinner for 2, but it can easily feed 3-4 people. It's linguini covered with all the seafood one can ever dream of - it had a full lobster and abundant amount of shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams and mussels. We actually had to dig to the bottom of the plate just to get some pasta. The calamari was also sinfully delicious! I'm getting hungry just writing this review and angry that it is sooooo far away.

The place is tiny and cramp and there is a bit of a wait, but it is definitely worth it! If ever I get a chance to go to Boston again, I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

“Worth the wait!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

Waited in line last Saturday night for an hour in 32 degree weather. Worth the wait? YES!

Great food for a reasonable price and very reasonably priced wine.

My daughter and I shared the HUGE seafood platter over pasta for 2. We ate all we could, but she ate it at her dorm for 2 more nights :)

Husband had the salmon over pasta and he ate every bite.

We had the calamari to start which was excellent too.

Yes, it is cramped and crowded, but it was part of the charm and adventure of our meal.

I will return for certain!

“"TOURIST TRAP" ?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

When I told my Cuz we were going to Giacomo`s ,"Tourist Trap" was his response. Beg to differ. The line to get in moves at a pretty good rate...Why? Because everyone loves the fixins so much they get down to eating them. The Raviolis stuffed with squash or Lobster are superb. Garlic bread and Caesar Salad Delish. Go. Wait a little. Peak through the window and talk to other folks about how good the food is there. Soon you will be rewarded. If they are trapping some tourists, they are lucky indeed.Mangia. Your taste buds and wallet will be pleased.

“So happy we went here! The wait is worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Arrived here with two friends on a mild, late afternoon on thanks-giving-weekend. We had chosen to try the place based on the trip advisor reviews.

No reservation, No leaving of names, No coffee and dessert! Appetizers and entrees only!

30 Places only! Open all afternoon from lunch to dinner! Great for seafood!

You have to wait in line! The people in front of us had two relatively young kids and were able to do it as the kids were really well behaved and occasionally went for a walk with one parent.

The line down to the corner of the block means about a 45min - 1 hour wait.

Once inside you are not rushed, but they obviously turn the restaurant over rapidly and efficiently.

Service is extremely competent. they have an assortment of seafood dishes with a choice of sauces and pastas. few options for other dishes!

Essentially it works like this: choose an appetizer, choose your fish, choose your pasta, choose your sauce. order from a selection of red and white wines all for 17$ so choose your favorite grape.

enjoy!

Its great and worth the wait if its not to cold!
