“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

It was a last minute decision to stay there , due to the weather. I had a very nice room for one . It was clean, great hot water and heat. The weather was in the single digits and snowing . The bed was very comfortable , HD TV and wifi. They had some delicious apples and spring water upon registrating. In the future it would be nice to possible have wine and a few other items available for purchase. I was concerned about the noise of the city streets, ie trolleys and snow plows. They gave out ear plugs but by 11p things were quiet and I slept well

Room Tip: I have heard the upper rooms are quieter.

I stayed here for two nights due to the combination of its good ranking on Trip Advisor and the good rate I got. I'm glad I did. My room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the two complimentary water bottles each day, along with the free wifi, the in-room refrigerator, the bathrobe and the nice TV which included tons of channels as well as On Demand options. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was always a nice bowl of apples in the lobby. Even though my room faced out onto the street, I didn't have a problem with noise. The hotel is a two-block walk from a T stop, so getting into town is easy. I drove, and was worried about finding parking on the street so I could save on the $18 per day valet fee, and I was able to find a parking spot the three different times I needed one, all within a block of the hotel. You just have to be comfortable parallel parking, though! I didn't use the Fitness center, but I checked it out and it was small, but looked well kept up.
I would definitely stay here again if I could get a good rate. You can buy snacks in the lobby 24/7, and there are many restaurants a short walk or T ride away. My bed was also quite comfortable.

A good price for a last minute week's booking. This is a relatively simple place to stay, but not at the expense of comfort. I'm not one to eat in hotels often so the limited food available wasn't an issue, and I found the full size room fridge and microwave ovens a pleasant surprise.

Easy commuting into town was fine by me and should I be in Boston again I'd stay here again without much bothering to look elsewhere.

I booked this hotel for two nights while my wife was having surgery at a nearby hospital. We spent the first night there together.

From our arrival to checkout everything was perfect. The bellman/valet was very courteous, as was the desk clerk. Our room was spacious, very clean (no smell of any kind) nicely decorated and plenty of closet and drawer space. Cable TV & WiFi worked just fine.

After using the bathtub we noticed the drain mechanism would not work. Reported it to the front desk the next morning and when it could not be fixed right away, they offered me another room, which was a corner one and a bit more bright and spacious.

This hotel was perfectly located and the valet parking rate was less than the hospital's. I was able to walk to and from the hospital.

The bed was very comfortable and although our road overlooked a parkway, the traffic noise did not bother us. Perhaps a room on the sour or north sides would have less traffic noise.

Room Tip: Can have a view of the park with a room facing west, but you will hear more traffic.

Had to stay close to Dana Farber while a friend had some appointments and tests scheduled. The location of the hotel is great and was pleasantly surprised by this place. The staff was wonderful and the room was immaculate. The beds were really comfortable which almost never happens when staying away from home. It made a difficult trip easier knowing there is a place to stay where it is clean and inviting. There is even a small gym that offers exactly what you need to stay in shape. The price was also very reasonable for the area so close to the city. We will definitely be staying there again since we will have to return for future appointments and will also explore more of the city.

Had to stay at a hotel while our condo was being renovated. Had never heard of this property before but read the reviews and decided to book. The hotel is clean and close to the major hospitals, t and bus stops. It's fine if you're looking for a clean room with good service.

Spent four nights during Thanksgiving week and it was an absolute pleasure. Rooms are modern and well appointed. Staff is especially helpful and accommodating. The location is a bit far from city center (which was perfect for us as it was near family) but public transportation is one-minute walk away. There are not many restaurants close by, but there is a Subway on the corner of the block. We needed to change rooms mid-week due to additional family arriving and hotel management was extremely accommodating. We took a two-room suite and were impressed with the size and amenities. It's basically two full-sized king rooms with a common entryway. However, the rooms are completely separate. However, there is no common gathering area so socializing must be done in one bedroom or the other. We will gladly stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Boston. It was a pleasure.

Room Tip: Front or back of building provides a more open view. The building is quiet throughout, though. The...
