“Authentic excellent Italian food!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

Would have been over the top Excellent except for the Maitre D / owner?? who was quite nasty!! There was a mix up in communication, as we tried to increase the # of guests. Instead of being pleasant about our error or his, he swore we were wrong!! The noise level is also quite loud, which we knew in advance. Burt, the food & prix fixe was w/ wine pairing was good value & yummy!!

“Lovely little spot in the North End”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

First time to Aria and I was very impressed. In the North End, you get a lot of the same menu items, but it seemed that the Aria menu was somewhat different. I had the Porchetta, their signature dish and it was delightful. A LOT of food.

You can't miss with Aria.

“I can't say enough good things about Aria...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2014

I'm a little hesitant to write this because I don't want everyone to start booking reservations and we'll never be able to get a table! However, I can't help but write how amazing our experience was at Aria. It's so difficult to find an Italian restaurant with AUTHENTIC Italian flavors, an incredible wine list and a waitstaff that works together so seamlessly, you barely know they're serving you or clearing your plates. Six of us took the "Fare Un Viaggio" which is a "Voyage Through Italy" where the chef serves you what he thinks you'll like best. He was correct at every turn and we were thrilled with his choices. From seating to service to ambiance to food, Aria Trattoria is #1 in our destination restaurant book (and we live 200+ miles away). A definite gem in the North End.

“Hidden Gem in North End”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

As we climb the steps to Aria my daughter asks "how can this place survive on the 2nd floor in the North End of Boston, there's so much competition" my answer was, its the food, the food!
We were there during graduation time when Boston is "wicked busy", they served many large parties and kept everyone happy. We took their recommendation and had their tasting menu…$55 per person, appetizers, pasta and main course. The lemon cello shrimp were unique and a winner. Meatballs, charcuterie and requisite Calamari were excellent. Second course of pasta Bolognese was very good. I especially appreciated the gluten free pasta choice. Main courses…steak, salmon, Osso Bucco (the best!) and Scallops were all unique in their own way and excellent. The wait staff was attentive and made excellent wine recommendations. All very reasonably priced but excellent. Another bonus, not to be ignored, was they offer valet parking! Very convenient. Coffee, espresso and lemoncello topped off the meal. We were content and happy we found this place. I don't have a reason to go back to Boston soon, but I sure wish I did so I can come back here.

“Climb up the stairs and find "awesome"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

Aria is small; if sitting right next to people you don't know bothers you don't reserve here.
However, if you are looking for authentic, delicious and fresh food you will not be disappointed.
The meatballs are divine and the service is really good. They have a great wine list and an unbelievable dessert selection.
We look forward to returning asap!
