“$1 tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

$1 tapas! Is there much more to say! Well, they are actually $0.50 in the early evening. We got the sampler tapas which includes 10 varieties. We really loved the pork spring roll, the fried plantain, salmon tartar, empanada, and chicken taquito. The sangria was good also. A great place to start the night out.

“Worth a trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

First night in Boston and we stumbled on this place. Excellent service and lovely food (especially the caprese salad). Tapas is particularly good value. Nice atmosphere, busy but not too loud.

“Cheap snacks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Fun atmosphere- go between 5 and 7 for tapas....50 cents each if you buy the sampler...soooo 5 bucks for 10 snacks. They are all yummy- no guarantee you'll love all 10 but you could mix & match with a friend. Drinks are awesome and bartenders know their stuff!

“Always interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We often dinner at Masa on Tremont St. before theater at the Calderwell, and we are never disappointed. Their food is inspired and something different. Don't be afraid to ask your server about the level of hot spices in a dish you think looks good. While many offerings at Masa have a bit of a "kick" to them, many have wonderful flavorings with little or no heat. We have never been steered wrong.

Masa is a delightful spot for dinner or drinks before theatre or whatever else the evening brings.

“Southwest in the outh end”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012 via mobile

Masa was A fun resturant with a spicy southwest flair.   The food was wonderful, but watchout as some of the dishes were too hot/spicy to my taste.    We loved the PE musseles and the spicy icecreams.   The service was very attentive.  The ambiance was OK.   We were seated in a booth that felt too diner-like and not a mid-to-hght level resturant.    On Wednesday night the resturant was not full and the background noise level was low.   The cabarnet by the glass was ok not great.
I would recommend Masa when you want to eat out in a different style restaurant.
