“No. 9 Park rocks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2007

This is my favorite place to splurge (which only comes 2-3 times a year...it is certainly not cheap!) and it's worth every penny! The food, ambiance, service, presentation... everything is of stellar quality--even their bread is out of this world!
If you have the money to dine out 2-3 times at a so-so-upscale restaurant (which is usually very mediocre), save the money and splurge it here. You will not regret it.

“A real grown-up dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2007

We recently went to No. 9 Park for our anniversary. We've been before for both lunch and dinner and enjoyed our meals. This time was even better.

The ambience of the dining room is rich, eschewing trendiness. It feels very sophisticated. My only complaint was that it was too warm. The server was knowledgable and personable. He really knew the menu and made excellent food and wine recommendations.

The food is the real star. Everyone talks about Barbara Lynch's prune filled gnocci with seared fois gras.....and for good reason. It is specatcular. I had an excellent venison entree while my wife had deep water cod with brandade fritters. Ingredients are first rate. The presentation was visually stunning and the portions were just right. The deserts were also fabulous, as were the delicious bread before the meal.

I made the reservations online and noted that it was our anniversary. The dining room manager was aware of this when we arrived and wished us 'happy annivesary'. Nice touch. Nicer still, we were treated to a special after dinner wine by the excellent server with a similar 'best wishes'.

If it were possible to give more than 5 'stars' here I'd do it. Kudos to everyone at No. 9 Park for a superb dining experience.

“Spectacular Dining!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2006

We recently visited on Saturday 12/16/06 and were impressed by the serene setting and excellent unobtrusive service by our waiter Chuck. He took us on a culinary journey with his low key recommendations and obvious interest in his product and we loved every minute of it. We had the famous appetizer Prune Gnocchis w/ foie gras and the flavors were wonderful, but it was the Black Angus beef dinner for two w/ black truffles that was indescribably delicious! One of the top 2 beef dinners we've ever had - a must - and we never felt rushed but allowed to fully enjoy. We can only hope to return! B&B/Boston

I have to say, after reading all the reviews I expected perfection but I was let down. The appetizers were good but the main courses left something to be desired. I'd recommend going to their cafe section for lunch if you'd like to try it out without blowing the bank.

“This restaurant deserves an 11!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2005

We are from Los Angeles. We do have a few good restaurants here in LA.
No. 9 Park was an unbelievable experience. The food was outstanding and the service even better. Everyone was so attentive. They even knew are name when we walked in the restaurant. Leave room for dessert. Try the peppered cheesecake. Best dessert I have ever tasted!!!!!
