“Great Location in Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

My sister and I stayed at the Boston Loews Hotel during a 3 day trip to explore Boston. The hotel was wonderful, though a bit expensive, perhaps because we booked late. The location was great, a short walk to Boston Commons and lots of great places to eat. The hotel had a great bar and restaurant, and a latte machine in the lobby. The staff were friendly and helpful.

the loews hotel has a great location, walking distance from everywhere, staff very efficient and helpful especially at front desk. the precinct restaurant/bar is a perfect place to relax after a long day.The only problem we had was with the A/C , the first night it didn t work properly but the maintenance came to fix it the following morning. But even if it worked better, during the night the A/C stopped again.I think it is controlled by a motion sensor so if you don't move, the room gets warmer and warmer and you have to get out of the bed and go to the sensor ! that was the only problem we had.We were in room 342

Room Tip: ask for room on stuart street , they are quieter

Pros: The hotel is in a great location within a short walk to the T, Copley square, and other locales. You can park on nearby streets (we found a spot down the block) and feed the meter via an online app. The Concierge was very helpful and nice to my mother when she inquired about getting around on the T. If you are a coffee person there is a free self-serve coffee bar in the lobby (also has hot chocolate).
Cons: The hotel is way too pricey for rooms that are tiny, outdated, and have broken furniture. Parking is $48 a night and the doorman and valet would not, or could not, provide any cheaper options for parking when asked what was nearby. Bottled water in the room cost $7 a bottle. There isn’t a pool or a spa. Housekeeping was extremely slow about bringing extra towels to the room. The first night we waited for an hour and the morning we were checking out they didn’t even show up before checked out (about 2 hours after we called).

My wife and I stayed at the Loews Boston for just one night recently. We arrived late at night and it only took about 15-20 minutes to get here from Logan.

This is a neat old building that has recently gone through some renovations. Nothing much remarkable here. The room was modern and nice, but very pricey. I'm sure the price is on par with other similar hotels in this area of Boston. The bed was nice and comfortable.

There was some disorganization at the front desk. While I was waiting to check out, they were having problems with their printers and were unable to print out a copy of my bill. I gave them my email address to send it to, but 3 weeks later I still have not received it. They were also having trouble receiving a fax for another customer while I was waiting.

But the location and room are what makes this a hotel that I would probably return to.

This hotel is in a great central location. Within walking distance of anywhere in Boston.
Received a nice warm welcome on arrival after a long flight from UK.
Arrived in our room and was pleasantly surprised how spacious it was compared to other Boston Hotels we've stayed in before.
Can't fault a thing and the precinct bar was very good too. Will definitely come back again.

We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2015 and can thoroughly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and well located hotel in Boston. We had a Superior room, which was very spacious, with plenty of storage space in the wardrobe and drawers. The bathroom was nice and big, with a huge shower and a really fluffy bathmat! The bed was a good size and very comfortable, with a good selection of pillows to choose from. One small niggle was that the room was lit with a series of small lamps and wall lights and perhaps was just missing a main ceiling light in the main bedroom area. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant twice and the food was lovely if a little expensive (although it was fairly similar to other hotel restaurants for breakfast - we just found it a bit more expensive than eating in cafes etc.). Particular mention should go to the concierge, who was really helpful in sorting out some excursions for us. In fact, all of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located in the Back Bay area and our room was very quiet, with hardly any noise from outside. We were able to walk to Boston Common very easily and it is well located for T stations (subway) to get to other parts of the city.
