Do not miss this authentic mecanto in the North End. Owned by the Mendoza Brothers, they import everything right from the motherland. The shop looks just like a Florentine shop, with cured meats and cheeses on display. Sandwiches are not listed, just ask. The Italian sub, with three different kinds of meats, arugula, buttery mozzarella, balsamic vinegar on crispy, soft, perfectly baked Italian baguette is a culinary revelation.
