“Tasty food, not bad prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Was recommended this place by a friend back in the UK and have to say, it was worth the visit. Service was good, food was tasty and we were so full afterwards as the portions were quite big. The Rona Rita was worth trying and the corn appetiser was delish - must try!
On a nice day, it would be nice to walk along the harbour before heading to Papagayo's for dinner, views are beautiful.

“Great Margaritas and Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I work near Papagayo and a short while ago decided to go there with my girlfriend for dinner. Definitely some of the best margaritas near the south boston area and the food was exceptional. The table-side guacamole was the best!

“Good summer place to meet friends for lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

We ran into this place while walking back from Bunker Hill (Charlestown) to the North End. We were very happy with the finding. Very nice looking place with a fun and refreshing ambiance.

The prices are a bit high for mexican food, however, you are really paying for eating at a nice place with a great ambiance. I would say it is a great place to meet with friends for lunch and it is also kid friendly.

This is the first time I ever saw a "Coronarita"... They make a regular margarita, in a margarita glass and flip a full Corona bottle in the glass. Not all of the beer goes in, it only does gradually, as you drink. I was a bit skeptical, but it was kind of good. I would definitely go back to try it again!

“Cool restaurant and vibe, so-so food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

We stopped in around 3pm for late lunch/ early dinner and were seated promptly, the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. We waited over 5 minutes for the waitress to come over to acknowledge us and take our drink orders. We also had to ask her to bring the chips and salsa to our table.
We ordered the table side guacamole which was delicious! The food- beef tacos and chicken enchiladas were okay, nothing extraordinary. The kids meals were blah. My girls ordered pasta (yeah i know, at a Mexican place) and it came with French fries. The menu stated that the kids meals came with a dessert but when we inquired at the end of the meal we were told they were "out" of them. Not cool when the kids can read the menu and expect a dessert at the end.
Overall I thought the atmosphere was pretty cool but that food was just okay.

“Missed as far as being Mexican fare”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

We were excited to find a new Mexican restaurant, but we were disappointed as it missed on both the authentic Mexican food and the Tex-Mex scale. I love Rona-Ritas (a margarita with a Coronita in it) but this one didn’t work – maybe because it wasn’t frozen? About ½ way through I was just drinking beer through a straw. The chips and salsa weren’t that good – the chips were too heavy and the salsa was way too bland and unoriginal. We had queso for an appetizer; it was also very bland – almost like Campbell canned cheese soup. Unfortunately, the food came at the same time as the appetizer which really crowded our little table and caused us to rush through dinner. We shared carne asada which was okay dressed with the onion, cilantro and sauce but on its own, the meat didn’t have a good flavor. On a positive note, Alex provided us with excellent service and the atmosphere/location is good.
