“awesome hotel and staff!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

The hotel Commonwealth was exceptional, and I would truly recommend it for a stay for a family or a business stay in Boston! We had a view of Fenway park, and it was our first time in Boston, what an experience. The room was very clean and well maintained, the only thing I found wrong was that the fruit was already stocked with beer, wine, water and food. So you really had no place to put a doggy bag from the local restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with a Fenway view it's awesome to see history!

My husband and I were in town for a baseball game and this hotel was absolutely wonderful. It's in a perfect location and it was very nice. Will definitely stay here again. Can't say enough about this hotel. When we got to the hotel the staff asked if we wanted to upgrade to a junior suite for $30 more a night. It was so nice and the bathroom was fabulous. I can't remember the last time I had a jacuzzi bathtub in a hotel room. It was nice after a long day of walking. I've never been offered that from any hotel before. Thank you very much!!!!

Great location for Fenway Park. Easy walk to the park. We stayed the weekend for the Boston/Yankee series. Front desk was great in helping us plan our day in Boston. Hotel was clean and quiet and very relaxing. We had a suite which was very roomy and nice. Would definitely return.

Dear babs1269,

We are thrilled you enjoyed the location of Hotel Commonwealth. You selected an incredible weekend to visit. The Yankee/Red Sox rivalry certainly brings a buzz to Kenmore Square that is hard to match. The team here looks forward to you returning.

We had a great experience! The room was nice. The staff was excellent. Very family oriented! I am not a very wordy person so I am not happy to have to type 200 characters. But please don't let that reflect negatively on the hotel.

The Hotel Commonwealth is a beautiful upscale boutique type hotel with an AWESOME down to earth, super accommodating staff. The hotel features nicely appointed guest rooms and unlimited options for dinning with steps of the property. We ordered a room service breakfast and the veggie furtatta was absolutely delicious!
Big shout out to the front desk staff who went above and beyond helping us navigate our first visit to Boston. Megan (the summer intern from BU), Stephen at the front desk and Nick the concierge, made what could have left like a cold visit to a snooty hotel, feel like staying with good friends!
Thanks Hotel Commonwealth!! We'll be back in November....

Room Tip: I can't imagine they have a bad room in the whole property. Go online to get the advance booking...

I have been very fortunate to have been introduced to Hotel Commonwealth by a friend about 4 years ago, and have visited quite regularly since......it's the only hotel I'll stay at in Boston for many reasons. From the moment you pull up in front you are treated like royalty and a delightful experience begins with class and style. All of the bellman (thanks again Tim) and the valet/security staff are amazing with the ability to remember appropriate details and instantly make you feel welcomed, safe and secure. The front desk staff is the epitome of world class customer service- thank you to Corey, Steve, Nick, and of course the illustrious Manager Lucas and Director of sales Mike......... thank you so much for always making every stay perfect ! Hotel Commonwealth is a beautiful luxury boutique hotel perfectly situated in busy Kenmore Square with many easily accessible and interesting attractions nearby. With everything going on outdoors, you would never know of any of it from the inside. Beautiful lobby, with lovely seating areas, workout club and meeting areas. Guest rooms are sound proof and extremely well-appointed with beautiful decor, large flat screen tv's, and fabulous, very comfortable beds with fine linens. A large marble bathroom with a full soaking tub and a rainfall shower top of the ambiance. Depending on what you prefer, views of Fenway Park and the House of Blues or of busy Commonwealth Avenue are both a treat. The biggest asset of this destination is surely the staff and its world-class customer care. You will feel special from start to finish, I promise. The hotel is flanked by two wonderful restaurants, Oyster creek and then of course the infamous Eastern Standard on the other side. Still managed by the wonderfully talented and personable Andrew Holden, the restaurants menu is quite varied , with something for everyone. Kevin at the lovely long bar will take very good care of you with his professional mixology talents and a delightful personality. It's no wonder TV Diner speaks so highly of this iconic restaurant . Hotel Commonwealth and Eastern Standard will not disappoint, give it a try! Thanks to everyone, I'm you biggest fan from New Hampshire !

Superior service, spacious mini suite, and spotless room. Great place to stay with easy access to Fenway park or the train station almost next door to get anywhere in the city. No negatives except somewhat pricey parking run by offsite company although its to be expected in major metro areas. Hotel also has a great two day getaway package.

Room Tip: I prefer the view of Kenmore Square.
