My family and I visited Pauli's today for a lunch, and while we were expecting more of a bistro atmosphere (rather than a sandwich, cafe-like environment), it was a neat little place with a friendly staff and some room to sit. I got the feeling that this would be a great spot to become a regular, for any meal! Yet, what made this trip to Pauli's outstanding was the "Lobsta Roll"! After a short wait, the cashier brought the "Lobsta Rolls" to our table and we tasted a little bit of heaven, Boston edition. The fresh bun was warm and buttery and it was literally over-flowing with giant lobster chunks. While the sandwich was simple, with only lobster and a very small amount of mayo, the lobster was fresh and moist and was the highlight of the sandwich. If you love lobster, actual seafood tasting lobster (as in no drawn butter), you will LOVE this Lobster Roll because there is no red onion, celery, or excess amount of mayo to hide the fresh lobster taste. BY FAR, my favorite "Lobsta Roll" that I have ever had. We also had a chicken cutlet sandwich that was good, nothing special, and Lobster Mac n' Cheese that was also phenomenal! I give this place an 'excellent' review for what it is, a great place for anyone looking for a quick lunch with counter service, or for some of the best lobster-highlighted meals!
