Experience printing in all its inky glory. Print master, Gary Gregory, does it old school with a letterpress he obtained from Yorktown, VA. He received specialized training in Colonial Williamsburg, VA, and is the first printer in 200+ years to print the Boston version of the Declaration of Independence in this manner. He sells copies of this and other printed items across the hall in the gift shop (very reasonably priced too, I might add). Gary is a font of knowledge -- ask him about items in the shop, including the "Join or Die" illustration, or the origins of "uppercase" and "lowercase." He can tell you about both, and more! My husband is in the commercial printing business and was in heaven at Edes & Gill. But even if your only experience with printing has been reading a book or a newspaper, you must stop at this little gem!
