We were staying at the Park Plaza Hotel and wanted a good sushi place nearby. The Snappy Sushi is a 5-10 minute walk away, right on Newbury Street near a lot of good shopping places. So we decided to go there (on a Friday night). We waited about 10 minutes to get a table outside (they offered us one inside in the basement but it had the feeling of a dungeon so we passed on that). We ordered a couple of sushi rolls, both traditional (salmon and avacado) and more creative ones. Plus some salmon nigiri. Overall, the sushi was fresh and fairly good, although not outstanding. The mamemaki roll was a bit bland, and the use of brown rice instead of proper sushi rice was perhaps best termed "a good idea gone bad". The restaurant would be better advised to perhaps give the option of brown rice for those who want it, but to us it really detracted from the flavor experience. On the other hand, the service was good and very friendly.
