“Sushi very fresh but we stunk after!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Sushi was so yummy and fresh and prices were reasonable, especially for Newberry Street. A smallish restaurant, most seating is in the basement which is a bit weird. But boy did we STINK for the rest of the day (like tempura...greasy smell).

“Convenient location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Right on Newbury street, this is a great place to take a break from all the hard work of shopping. I certainly wouldn't come out of my way to go to Snappy, but I'll go back the next time I'm in the area.

The food is good, on the expensive side but that's to be expected in this area. My friend and I were sat at a large family style table. We came at an off time and there was only one other lady reading her book but had it been crowded it might have been awkward and hard to have any kind of private conversation.

The sushi is good and fresh and it's more affordable than many of the other restaurants on this block.

“Great food & location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We went here with a big group and they were very accommodating. We got our own extra-large table in a private area upstairs (we had our own floor). Service and food was very good as well.

“Bad bad service!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Went for lunch yesterday at around 2 with a friend. She had to wait for over 10 minutes & then finally had to ask for water. Server got my wine wrong (from a very small list) my friend ordered an appetizer. & a main dish & I ordered just a main dish . We waited for 45 minutes while people who came after us got served first, even tho they ordered the same food. My lunch came before her appetizer & her appetizer came at the same time as her main fish. We spoke to the manager who made excuses & never offered any apology. A real disappointment!

“Amazing sushi!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

If you are ever in Newbury Street and craving sushi, I highly recommend Snappy Sushi. We were so impressed with their excellent food – coming from Cape Town and being used to the best seafood available we were unsure of how Boston would compare, but they delicious.

We ordered the following:

Boston Lobster Roll

Avocado, cucumber, and green leaf rolled together, and dressed with chopped lobster meat mixed with red onion and flying fish roe in wasabi-butter sauce.

Snappy’s Chicken Teriyaki Roll

Avocado and cucumber roll topped with spicy chicken teriyaki, dressed with truffle mayo and microgreens.

Also a traditional salmon california roll – wow the food was amazing! That lobster roll was so insanely good – you MUST try it!
