The Ramada Inn Boston is not the place to stay if you intend to do any touring of the city's sights. In order to get to the city, guests have to wait for the hotel's shuttle service to take them to the nearest railway station (UMass- JFK) which is a ten to fifteen minute drive or a brisk thirty minute walk.
The Ramada looks more like a large motel and whilst the room was clean and the service was friendly enough, the location spoiled any sense that you were in Boston.
My tip is that if you are going to Boston to see the sights stay somewhere in town such as the Back Bay area or at least within a five to ten minutes walk from Boston Common.
