We booked our table through "Opentable.com", as we have literally dozens of other restaurants. I don't know whether this restaurant is poorly managed or we just picked a bad night, but we had to wait an HOUR past our reservation time. And I'm not talking peak 6-8 pm--we had a 9:30 reservation and were kept at the bar past 10:30 pm. Shockingly bad.
Once we were seated, the maitre d', without asking us anything about ourselves, tried to impress us with a free shrimp cocktail. Since none of us eat shellfish (thanks for asking!) it didn't really endear us to him. The waiter was more gregarious but kept on chatting instead of putting in our order--it was 10:30, 11 pm. We were hungry.
We ended up being among the last people to leave the restaurant, obviously. While the food was a little more adventurous than the average branch of Legal, it wasn't very well executed. The overall experience was such a turnoff because of the delay--how can you enjoy dinner at midnight, honestly?
