We recently tried out this restaurant after just moving to Boston and reading all of their reviews and heard they were on the Food Network. Decided to skip the North End for a more "neighborhood experience" and was told by several people to check this place out in East Boston! Was very easy to find and there was lots of street parking close to the restaurant. EVERYTHING we had was delicious and the service was amazing. Definitely a place that I can't wait to go back with my family. Casual dining room had lots of family pictures and felt very comfortable and cozy. Jim the owner was very nice and hospitable. He went out of his way to make sure everyone had a nice time. Back to the food... So, we tried the Frutti Di Mare and the Haddock Margarita. Both dishes we saw featured on the Food Network. Boy, did they get it right! So much flavor and you could taste that everything was fresh and homemade. We had a Eggplant Parm Pizza and their Spicy Fried Calamari for our appetizers. The Pizza had so much flavor and the Calamari might be my new favorite appetizer anywhere. The prices were great for the portion size they give you... more than enough to share. Nice wine list and all of the bottles were under $40, also they serve martinis and mixed drinks, but we stuck with Chianti. Also, one quick note..that it was cash only, but this was not a big deal because there was an atm on the premises. Next time, I will definitely try and save room for dessert!!!
