“Wonderful Italian food for a very good price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012 via mobile

We heard about this place via the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website originally and since we were in the area on vacation decided to try it out, not yet really sure what it would offer since the show hadn't yet actually aired on the Food Network.

The owner was very nice and welcoming. The food was great! We had meatballs, the Frutti di Mare, and a large piece of pizza. All of it was delicious. Perfect blend of spices in the sauces. Very generous portions - the Frutti di Mare, for example, could easily serve 2-3 people by itself and was loaded with seafood (no skimping here). The prices were very reasonable as well, especially compared to some of the other places we tried in Boston.

For anyone who likes Italian and is flying into Boston for a visit, this is a must try. The restaurant is pretty close to Logan International Airport making it an easy meal spot before or after flying.

“Great food, great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

We have been eating here regularly for over a year now and haven't had a bad meal. The prices are fair and the quality of the food is great. The owners will consider almost any special request for a menu item to be prepeared the way you want it. For those that it is important to, they are also very socially conscious, helping out others that are less fortunate. It is one of those places where you hear the owners calling almost everyone by name and greeting new customers with the same friendliness. It's not just the food tasting good that keeps us coming back, it makes us feel good to eat here.

“Italian food worth going out of your way for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Great food at a hidden gem. For those of you in East Boston, you are lucky, and need to make this a regular place. For the rest of us - it is worth finding your way. I had pizza and mozzarella sticks while there. The pizza was great, the sauce and crust were yummy. The marinara sauce for dipping the mozzarella was incredible. I enjoyed it so much I ordered eggplant parm and ravioli to have the next day for lunch. These guys know how to do Italian right. The place is small but quaint with friendly and I think Nonni would be proud. After you fill yourself with great food , take a moment to go a block or 2 away and check out the incredible view of Boston from this great East Boston Neighborhood.

“Very good pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Me and my wife came in about 9pm, we were staying at the airport hilton and just wanted to try something local. Had a very good pizza, the sauce was the best part and also appreciated the crust was not overdone. The owner Jimmy came over and chatted with us and made us feel very welcome. I wish we could have tried a dinner, but we had a late lunch on Cape Cod. Just remember they only take cash, but there is an atm if you forget.
