Description: For centuries a major part of the Irish culture and community has been the Publik House. Every town in Ireland has their own pub, a meeting place in which members of the community can gather to relax, celebrate, and bond over a pint or a song. For over a century the city of Boston has been rich with Irish tradition and heritage. And many the many Irish ideas that immigrated their way across the Atlantic, the idea of the Pub was not left behind. Lansdowne Street has for decades been one of Boston's most popular destination - from the Red Sox to concerts and bars, the street had almost everything you could ask for.It is our pleasure to bring to you the combination of Irish culture and Boston heritage with a little Lansdowne Street flair. A place where the community can come together to celebrate and relax. Enjoy amazing traditional Irish fare, a pint of cold beer, and the type of atmosphere that will keep you coming back for years to come. We bring to you, The Lansdowne.

“Nice pub in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

My friends and I sat down for a quick bite before the game. I had the chicken pot pie and they had the shepherd's pie. All of the food was really good and was as expected. The beer selection was good, and the service was adequate. It was quite busy, but it was before the Phillies-Red Sox game.

“A little bit of Ireland next to Fenway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Great pub for watching a game or the end of one when it is cold or raining. Huge screen in middle of pub with lots of other smaller ones. Lots of seating, great beer selection. If you want to try some Irish food, this is the place. Prices are a little higher than other bars but you are next to Fenway.

“Great place to eat and drink before and after a game.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

The Lansdowne Pub is conveniently located by Gate C of Fenway Park. You feel like you are in an authentic Irish Pub in Ireland with its dark paneling and cozy atmosphere. The food is great and they give you plenty for a decent price. The staff is very accommodating, and took the time to explain when asked about menu items. I would definitely return here in the future.

“Cool atmosphere, good beer variety”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

My husband and I stopped in before a show at the House of Blues, having an hour and a half before it was time for us to walk next door to enter the venue. The front of the house was very friendly and the seating was comfortable. The restaurant was decorated in upscale pub décor and there was a lit fireplace near our table. The lighting was a little too dim and the Irish punk music was a bit too loud for dinner. I would love to come back here just for drinks and apps at one of their two bars. Lots of beer on tap and good variety of Irish beers.

We ordered the Guinness Sausage & Pretzel Board ($9). The sausage had a nice sear to it, but it was lacking fat inside and was quite dry. The pretzels looked like they were prepackaged, like you would get at the movie theater. The hot mustard was fantastic though! It had a deep flavor and a very strong, clean heat. I had ordered a cheese burger ($11+$1cheese) and it was cooked to medium perfectly. It was seasoned a little bit, but could have used more. The bread was nicely toasted with butter-the bread was much better than a typical bulkie. I had the side of kale instead of fries, and they were definitely the highlight of the meal. They were cooked so that they still had some bite to them, and had lots of garlic mixed with some tomatoes. My husband ordered the Fried Fish sandwich with malt and vinegar fries ($11). The fish was high quality, the bread was great, and the portion was plentiful. The steak fries really didn’t have a lot of vinegar on them, but there were a ton of them.

Overall we could tell they put care into the way they cooked the food, but more thought needs to go into the pretzels, sausage, and fries. The food also took forever to come out, even though there weren’t many tables seated. Great place to catch a meal or beer before a concert or game at Fenway.

“Near Fenway Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Good food and drink, very close to Fenway Park. There was quite a bit going on as we stumbled across this place as the Human Iditarod was going on (which they were hosting). Even with all the hustle and bustle of this event (and it was something). The staff attended to us with no interuptions and excellent service.
