“Very Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

We actually were on a Civil War tour and it took us through Beacon Hill. If you're a history buff, then you should definitely take the tour and visit Beacon Hill. I didn't give it an excellent because there are very steep streets that you have to walk up!!

“Lovely area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Great shops and atmosphere. The best mani-pedi ever - even better than in New York. And cheaper. Lovely part of Boston.

“Please spend an evening wandering!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Go as evening is setting in and the locals are out walking their dogs and the light is perfect on the cobblestones and red brick homes. Be sure to search out Louisburg Square and Acorn Street and just wander. You can't get lost because the hill is a real hill! You go up and then down--when you're down, turn around and go back up, chosing another street to explore. The area is bordered by the Commons on one down-side and Cambridge Street on the other down-side, so it's a very distinct residential neighborhood. It's bordered by Charles Street which has the shops and restaurants.

“Lovely Place to explore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

The shops are fun to explore but keep going on the side streets. They have the world's smallest gardens and fanciest window boxes. The Esplanade runs along it with walking paths along the river, benches,a playgrounds, and a sailing club.
Don't miss Artu's a great Italian restaurant. Acorn Street is lovely. You may also want to visit the Museum of African American History in Beacon Hill. The best part was the Ranger's tour.
