Owner description: Boston by Segway is the area's only Segway tour company. We take great pride in our fun, safe and unforgettable tours. The adventure starts with a safety orientation video and is followed by one-on-one indoor training to ensure a safe glide. Our 2-hour tour covers over 10 miles of historic Boston, Charlestown and Cambridge. You'll see the world's oldest commissioned warship, America's oldest restaurant, amazing architecture and much, much more. The 1-hour tour highlights Boston Harbor and its rich maritime history. The tour route takes you along the Harborwalk, a 30+ mile long public walkway that follows the edge of piers, wharves, beaches and shoreline around Boston Harbor.

“Fun way to see part of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

This was one of our favourite tours in Boston. Riding the Segway is awkward at first, but your body becomes accustomed to it very quickly and it is actually a ton of fun. This tour is a great way to see the harbour and some other Boston sights. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested. The flash drive with pictures is an added bonus. Note, if you use the Go Boston card to do this tour, the pictures are not included and cost just under $30 to purchase.

“Really fun tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

Our family with two teenage boys had a great time with captain Kevin. On the two hour tour Kevin showed us almost the entire city. Whizzing along on a segway is way better than walking the whole way!
We saw more and learned more about the city than we ever would have on our own. The aegway experience alone is worth the price of the ticket and the tour was great too! Extra bonus is he sent us home with a memory stick of 132 pictures Kevin snapped for us along the way.

“A fun and unique way to tour the Boston waterfront”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Our family had a blast on this tour. Kevin was entertaining as well as just plain nice and did a great job with teaching us how to ride and control the segways. An added bonus was the flash drive with over 130 pictures that he took as we toured. We would recommend this to any family who likes to do the more unusual offerings on vacation.

“Fantastic way to see Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

I have enjoyed many different tours of Boston over the years, and this tour with Captain Picard was by far the best way to see the city in my opinion. The training was quick but thorough, and the time for this did not eat into the 2 hour tour time at all. The 2 hour tour covered lots of the city, and went over to Charlestown and Cambridge too which was nice.

A big part of any tour is taking pics of the sights that you are seeing, and with Boston by Segway, the tour guide takes all of these for you, as he talks very knowledgeably about the city and its very rich and interesting history. This allows you to just enjoy the tour and the Segway experience. At the end of the tour, instead of charging $20 for a tacky group photo, we were given a USB stick with 100 or so photos of our tour included in the tour price which was fantastic.

Its not the cheapest way to see Boston but certainly the most fun and insightful that I have experienced!

“A whole bunch of fun!”

Josh, Captin Picard, was knowledgeable and fun! I was worried about being able to control the Segway but the training was great and my family had a blast!
