“Restaurant Week Dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

We took advantage of Restaurant Week to try Bond Restaurant located very close to our business. The food was very good. The service was also very good. The restaurant is quite dark with rich woods - some people love this. We would have preferred a little more light.
We're glad we tried it but not sure we'd make a special attempt to dine unless perhaps it is Restaurant Week.

“Upscale and Classy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Bond has to be one of my favorite places in Boston to get drinks and unwind for several reasons. The service is good, the sophistication of the crowd and the atmosphere. This place is busy Thursday nights through Saturday. The food is okay, but people mostly go here for the cocktails, a little dancing (really doesn't have a dance area), and to hangout. It's a great upscale spot to start the night after dinner or before hitting up a dance club.

First, I respect the chic decor turning an old bank vault next to the Langham Hotel into more than the usual generic hotel bar. The crowd can be accused of pretentiousness but that is far from the case. It's a place where people dress to impress and they do. After 7pm or so, you'll look out of place in shorts. The later the night goes on this place gets hopping. Good cocktails, typical martini prices $10+ and music makes for a great night.

“Good.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

I wanted to go dancing and saw that Bond advertised a DJ on Saturday nights. So my boyfriend booked a table and we went. Dinner was fine. Boston has some great eating establishments and this one was neither the best or the worst. Prices were average for a swanky place. 10 o'clock hit and the lights dimmed and the DJ came on. The music was great. But there's no real dance floor to speak of. So, you sort of have to dance in the middle of the room between a row of tables.

The scene was supposed to be high glam. It was eclectic at best. There were a few "pretty people", a lot of trendy people who wanted to be stylish, and a few tools throw into the box for good measure. All of that said, if you really like good DJs who play good mash ups of songs you know or like, this place had that. It was more than just the recycled Kiss108 playlist and steered away from the repetitive drone of the house/techno scene.

Overall, it was a fun night out. It could have been great with a better crowd and worst with a lame crowd. I get the feeling it's a bit of a crap shoot with this place.

The highlight: Aside from the music? Corzo tequila. No place seems to carry it around here. Smoothest Tequila ever!
The low: they kept clearing our drinks before we were done with them! Annoying.

“Bonding at Bond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Business lunch at Bond provided a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food. I had the New England clam chowder which was exquisite and then the burger which was juicy and perfectly cooked. My colleague had the lobster roll which he raved about. The service was attentive but not intrusive. It was a comfortable and reasonable place for a work lunch - elegant but not too expensive.

“very nice and very expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

The ambiance was very nice and the service excellent but the prices were on the expensive side. The bar selection was wide and the wait staff was very knowledgeable The lounge seating was mostly backless sofas which made sitting tiresome after a while.
