“Great find for Marathon weekend”

Holiday Inn Express Boston

Our party of 3 stayed for 4 nights during Marathon weekend at the HI Express. The hotel was full with many marathoners from other parts of the world also staying here. The halls were very quiet at night! Just like other reviewers have mentioned - the staff was friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast was all we needed to get going in the morning, access to the T was quick and easy, rooms were clean. The staff also accomodated it's marathon guests by having breakfast at 5:00 a.m. (2 hrs early) on race day. The whole experience was positive except that we had to have a smoking room and the windows don't open. I am still airing out the suitcases!

All in all we felt this hotel was a great deal in comparison to other places ( I discussed this with other spectators on race day). I too spent days researching on TA to choose this hotel.

“A great budget find in Boston”

Holiday Inn Express Boston

Apr 23, 2008

This hotel was perfect, the room was fairly spacious and quite clean. The staff was friendly and had no problem with our arrival before check in time. The breakfast wasn't great, but it was free and better than just donuts. The rates are much lower than downtown. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with the neighborhood, it's not rich, but it's perfectly safe and reasonable. The walk to the subway is quick and easy. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Boston unless I wanted a luxury hotel or made some amazing find. There is also a little italian deli nearby for cheap eats as well as a shopping center where you can get most anything you need.

My son and I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express located at 69 Boston Street in Boston, Massachusettes while doing a college visit. I researched for several days for a reasonably priced hotel in Boston that was close to downtown (not an easy feat!) We were THRILLED with the accomodations! The room was VERY clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was nice and our stay was very pleasant! All at a very reasonable price!!!!! The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Andrew train station which will take you downtown in a matter of minutes! Very convenient and easy to use! (We'd never ridden a subway before and were initially intimidated.) The hotel is also a short block from a large shopping mall with Old Navy, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target, and much more! The hotel baked fresh chocolate chip cookies every afternoon for the guests to enjoy! The staff was pleasant and helpful! We'd DEFINITELY stay there again! The only negatives I could come up with were that the walls seemed alittle thin and we could hear noise in the hallway at night, but it did not disturb us. The area that the hotel is located in is also not an area one would walk around to sight see. However, if you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean and conveniently located hotel near downtown...book a room here!

“Solid hotel near T for tourists”

My girlfriend and I just got back from a 5 day, 4 night stay in Boston. We did all the normal touristy stuff, and used the T often. The Holiday Inn was within walking distance to the andrew T station. The neighborhood was alright, safe enough to walk around in if your with someone else. We ended up walking back close to midnight on both thursday and friday and had no problems whatsoever. The staff at the hotel was very nice, and we had no problems. Our room was clean, and had what we needed as tourists who wanted to spend more time out in the city then in our hotel room. Our toilet tank handle was broken and needed to be jiggled with to work, but we let them know about it. They serve complimentary breakfast everyday, which was a huge blessing for us. It is a buffet style breakfast, and they had a huge spread everyday that included eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, english muffins, bagels, french toast, fruit, muffins, cinnamon rolls, milk, juices, coffee, etc. Overall I would suggest this to anyone who wants to stay on the cheaper side in Boston, who does not mind a 10 minute walk to the T, and can get over the fact its not a 5 star hotel or a 5 star area for that matter. It served our needs, and we would stay there again.

“Great Visit”

Holiday Inn Express Boston

Apr 13, 2008

Wonderful stay. Got in early and they accomodated a early check-in. Daily hot breakfast including, sausages, eggs, bacon and cold cereal and bagels, etc. The room was comfy and quiet.
Easy 5 minute walk to the Andrew T station. We felt real safe walking to and from the station both day and night. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They highly recommended a visit to the Prudential Center at Copley Square. We went and had a very good time.
