“Difficult to get to”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

It is right on the freeway frontage road but very confusing to get to. I wasn't the only one. Others commented as the were checking in. Check in was easy and friendly. Heftiest goodie bag for Priority members I've seen. There is a comp shuttle that will take you to the subway station but it is only a 5-8 minute walk.
Room was clean and well maintained but there was some freeway noise at night.
Large uncovered parking lot to leave your car and take the subway in to the city.

The location is good for a city, next to a shopping retail park so you have Target/Old Navy/Best Buy etc and Andrew T subway is 5 minutes walk away. If you don't have much luggage turn right down Boston St past the bank on your right over the bridge and you can see the hotel on your right.
Staff are so friendly and helpful here and it makes a difference.

Breakfast is OK, good for free, omelettes/pancakes/bagels/fruit/cereals/ 24 hour coffee/ water dispenser/hot water machine.

Free wi fi and there is cable. Rooms are comfy.
I didn't expect as much but was very pleasantly surprised.

Convenient to the Andrew (red line) stop on the T. Walking distance to shopping center including Target, Best Buy, Home Depot store. Bed & room clean & comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Generous morning breakfast. 24 hr coffee/tea in lobby. Would stay here again.

Short distance to airport and cruise terminal. Shuttle bus to both. Clean rooms, good service. Nice aerobic exercise equipment but no machines/free weights to work muscle groups. Shopping a ahort walk including Target, Best Buy and several other stores. Olive Garden, Applebee's and Panera Bread in same shopping area. Very good experience.

HI Express is usually a safe bet but this one does not meet their standards. Their AD reads: "Free shuttle" but when you get to the hotel you find out it only goes 2 or 3 places and NOT into downtown Boston.Calling for a cab was a free for all with no organization or order.
The Hotel wasn't clean and the staff were not knowledgeable to area restaurants. In fact when I asked for any recommendations it seemed as if I was bothering them.
We travel to Boston 2-3 times a year and this is one place I would not stay in again. It would be better to stay at a hotel slightly out of town.

Dear Michael S,

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to leave us a candid review. We work very hard to ensure our facilities and services are superior and we strive to be the best Holiday Inn around. It sounds like we fell below your expectations. I apologize you found the shuttle services, condition of the hotel as well as hotel staff services less than satisfactory. I have taken note of your comments and we will address these points to improve upon our service.

We hope to get a chance of hosting you again and show you how great our hotel is.

Sincerely,

Zelyn N

This Holiday Inn Express is a little bit away from downtown, but it's a short ride on the T and an easy 10 minute walk to the hotel. The rooms were typical Holiday Inn Express, which is to say they were acceptable but nothing special. They also have the typical amenities like free wifi and free breakfast -- the choices for breakfast aren't great but it'll do until you get out into the city during the day.

I wouldn't mind staying here again for a place a little bit outside of downtown -- quieter and not quite as expensive.

This was a nice place. The only thing was our gps got us lost with what would have been two streets away. Breakfast was always packed and not enough seating. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Could have used a outlet more parking but it was nice that people who were staying had parking tags.
