Wondering why some of the reviews of this place are great and some are awful? Here's why. First, as everybody else says, these are apartments spread out all over the neighborhood. We stayed at 171 Botolph St, which was fine. The neighborhood was reasonably quiet. Copley House gets the big things right: the apartment was renovated, it was clean, everything we needed was there, and it was conveniently located. Where they fall down is in the details. The paint was chipped (Copley House: dark red is a terrible paint color for showing wear!). There was a knob missing on a cabinet door. There weren't enough pillows to make up the sofa bed. And there was a very stale smell in the apartment, which was blazing hot when I came in even though there were no heaters on (no prob, I opened the window). When I called the "emergency number" they gave me in an email, the person who answered said, "I'm in Houston. I'll call you back" and never did.
If you want budget digs in a decent place, Copley House is fine. If you need perfection, frills, or charm, this is not the place.
