“A luxurious escape from the day to day.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012 via mobile

Beautiful property at a prime location. Room was amazing from the Beds, to the view of the Harbor, ending with a rainforest shower in the bathroom... The staff was well trained and professional. The Bar has a wide variety of high end spirits, which was perfect ending to an eventful day in the city.

I liked this hotel because it was a good base for visiting the historical sights and nearby restaurants. I highly recommend parking your car and walking the city. Most sights were within a few miles and not through bad areas of town.

The room itself was nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was pretty as well. It was bigger than most hotel rooms I've been in. There were more than the standard amount of channels on the TV. There is a small coffee maker in the room but you have to look for it.

There is a charge for internet so keep that in mind when budgeting. The valet was also more expensive than most hotels but seeing as how we passed a few parking areas priced at $25, I'd say it isn't too bad.

We had a room facing the front on the 2nd floor right above the entry. I would request a higher floor facing the bay.

This is my second Fairmont experience and I'm hooked. Wonderful room, great service, great view of the harbor. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, tourist spots. Weather was too windy for the trip to the airport on the water taxi but wish we could have. Short taxi ride there. Only problem was we had to leave.

We are delighted that you chose to stay with us for your birthday celebration and that we were able to make it a memorable experience! It sounds like you were able to take advantage of our location and did some exploring around Boston. We hope that we can welcome you back the next time you decide to visit and hopefully then you will be able to try out the water taxi!

Stayed at the hotel for my wife's birthday celebration.
Excellent room, amenities and restaurant.
Breakfast was very good every day.
The room had a great view of the harbor and was very quiet.
Will stay there again in the future.

My first Fairmont experience and it was just as I had hoped. The service is top notch and the rooms are large and modern. We went to the gold building and that gave us access to complimentary beverages and hor'douerves. The view of the sunrise over the harbor was spectacular. Out new getaway Boston hotel. Love it!

Room Tip: Go for the Gold!

I stayed 4 nights, wish I could've stayed longer. There is no comparison to the mega-conference hotel I am at now.....at the Fairmont Battery Wharf, it really was special. I loved the location, loved the water taxi from the airport, the BMW courtesy ride. Houskeeping and a million other details were absolutely perfect. I hope they are OK for the incoming storm!

Room Tip: I was happy because I asked for a room with "lots of light", usually an upper floor. They...

Thank you for your review and for your concern for us during the hurricane. Luckily we made it through with no damage. We are so glad that you enjoyed your experience with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our smaller atmosphere. We pride ourselves on being a hotel that offers a more intimate setting for guests. That's great that you were able to take the water taxi from the airport, as it is a very fun and different way to arrive into the city. We hope that we can welcome you back the next time you return to Boston!

We booked our room online and our confirmation offered a upgrade to the gold for a monomial fee should it be available on the day. And this it was. On arrival we were swiftly looked after and ushered to a different building for Gold members.

The building had its own reception with very attentive we'll informed staff, a lounge with bar, tables, sofas, TV and a fire place. Breakfast was offered in the lounge as we're drinks and snacks in the early evening. This was a nice place to relax and also meet other travellers.

We had a corner room with harbour views that was fairly new with simple clean decor. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, 3 comfy chairs, coffee table, desk and chair and large TV. The bathroom was very big with a great walk in shower and double sink, this too was well decorated.

I used the gym which was adequate and the steam room with was fabulous. The hotel is also very well located for daily runs along the harbour.

We split our Boston trip by spending 3 nights here before moving to the Fairmont Copley. It gave us 2 views of Boston. Battery Wharf is located on the harbour across the street from the Italian quarter. The area is safe, has over 80 restaurants and bars and is a lively place to spend a couple of days. It is a short taxi journey to the centre with a cost of about $14 with tip.

To summarise, Battery Wharf is well located; quieter than Copley, contemporary (or rather new), the service is great and the bar quite a nice place to kill time.

I would recommend the hotel but whether you would like the Copley or here is subjective. I liked both but the experience is very different.
