“Understated elegance, classy, great location and staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013 via mobile

We stayed there this past weekend and our expectations were exceeded! Before we arrived I had told the staff it was a very special occasion and I had ordered roses and chocolate covered strawberries for the room to surprise my fiancé! The staff was great I'm arranging for that and when I arrived the hotel staff also had a chilled bottle of champagne in the room and an additional dozen roses! I can't tell you how special that was and how romantic it was to present my fiancé with a diamond ring! The hotel is in a great location- we will definitely be back to stay at the inn at st botolph street! Thank you ! Fhb

This is a four story boutique hotel situated in a beautiful residential neighborhood in the Back Bay (don't worry there's an elevator). We arrived before the 3PM checkin, the hotel staff buzzed us in, ticketed and checked our luggage in their locked storage closets. The office, restroom, lounge, and fitness center are all on the ground level. Although this isn't a full service hotel, it was never apparent. The staff was always available and extremely accommodating throughout our three day stay.

The location was perfect! The Prudential Center is a 5 minute walk where you will find shopping, great restaurants, an information desk and some guided city tour options. Taxis are familiar with St. Botolph Street and we never had any issues with pickups or drop offs. The MFA and Newbury Street were both only $5 cab rides away.

We booked a one bedroom suite with a fireplace. I was impressed by the classy contemporary design, RUSK toiletries, plush towels, makeup remover wipes and modern kitchen. The pillows on the bed were new but a bit firm and the bed was also on the firm side. The room was very cozy yet surprisingly spacious even with the double high AeroBed that the staff set up prior to our arrival for our third guest. The bedroom had pocket double doors for privacy and the bathroom was modern with a spacious shower.

Airport Transportation: I used the Uber Car Service app. to get from the hotel to Logan, the fare was $25 (gratuity was not accepted) and the ride took less than twenty minutes. It would have been about $40 if I called a traditional taxi, try it out and save $10 by using this code, 0rkvs.

I was overly satisfied with our stay and the hotel staff, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I would recommend this inn for a stay in Boston . Room has a gas fireplace, kitchen nice large bath. Pocket doors to separate the living room from the bedroom . Very helpful staff, very modern design. Centrally located. Will definitely return

I have stayed at this hotel several times and was impressed each and every time. It's a small, quiet, and exceeding comfortable boutique hotel located within walking distance of dozens of Boston's great restaurants and stores in the City's Back Bay and South End neighborhoods. It's also close to Boston's larger, convention- and meeting-oriented hotels but far from the crowds, noise, and impersonal services of these locations.

The Inn at St Botolph is a great place to stay for a single night or a week long stay. If you want a large hotel that you can share with 100's of people you don't know and don't want to know, accompanied by noise and over-priced and poorly served food, I suggest you stay elsewhere.

If you want a great place to stay, I suggest the Inn at St Botolph.

The location was perfect for our trip. 3 night stay in August, 2013. We stayed in a two bedroom room. The smaller bedroom has a single bed with trundle (this room is very bright in the morning). The Master had a king. There is one bathroom that is accessed from the main room which has a L shape couch that can sleep two, a table, fireplace and efficiency kitchen.
The hotel has complimentary light breakfast consisting of coffee, tea, yogurt, bagels, etc(self serve). You access the hotel and your room with a code.

Easy 6-7 minute walk with luggage from Back Bay Station. We had taken Amtrak from NYC and walked the paved pathway directly across Dartmouth Street to Newton Street, turn right a short block to the inn. No check-in or out, feels like apartment living. We stayed in #403 which was a one bedroom with kitchenette. This room is right next to the elevator but it was never an issue of being overly noisy, has nice view of a fairly quiet street. Large, clean rooms, tasteful furnishings, kitchen has full size fridge, cooktop, toaster oven, microwave. Bathroom a little small but has a large shower. About a minute walk to Prudential Center. Office staff very nice. Adequate continental breakfast (no fruit), with the nice touch of having a Nespresso latte machine. Access to MAC computer and printer and washer/dryer in common area. Would definitely choose this classy inn over a conventional hotel.

Stayed at the Inn for 3 nights in August during vacation to Boston.

The Inn is a unique accomodation experience, despite having all the luxuries/amenities of a regular hotel, you can't help but feel like a true Bostonian living in an apartment in an upmarket part of town.

There's no reception or main lobby to greet you when you arrive, instead you use an entry code which is emailed to you in advance of your stay. This allows you to gain access to the premises/your room yourself and cuts down on the fuss of having to formally check in.

Note: an office is located downstairs with friendly staff who take care of any queries/requests you may have. This is open from early morning to late at night.

We opted for the one bedroom suite, which consisted of a fully kitted out kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom with four poster bed. I'd give the suite top marks (spotless rooms, stylish decor, and v.comfortable bed),

Each morning, breakfast is available in the kitchen area on the lower ground floor where you can come and help yourself. Nothing too grand (bagels/cereal/yoghurts) but still enough to set you up for the day and a nice little touch I thought. Be sure to try the coffee (the best I tasted on my trip to the States!).

All the attractions Boston has to offer are close by (Prudential Centre is a 2 minute walk). A 7-11 store is convieniently located across the street for any small items you need to pick up.

Would definetly recommend / stay again.
