“Wonderful but wish they would get rid of the TVs at least on one floor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

This was our 2nd time at Nico's. It is typical for the North End in being a very small place perfect for enjoying the good food and good service that is offered. However, when one is paying over $150 for dinner for two (without dessert or appetizers) the last thing one wants is to have distracting TVs looming over the room. We sat downstairs and luckily were in a corner but one table has the TV basically in their face through dinner. This is not a sports bar. Owners, are you listening? Please get rid of the TV downstairs and tone down the number of them upstairs or get rid of them. People have enough screen time - please give us a break during dinner! Would have given higher ratings for atmosphere and romance and special occasions if it weren't for those blasted TVs

“Another Home Run!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We always look forward to eating at Nico's. Hakim Jabrani, one of the best waiters we've ever met, is warm and inviting. The food is very fresh and the tastes are amazing. Try the mozarella stuffed with Ricotta, the chicken parmigiana, or the risotto. The wine list is superb. Get a table upstairs rather than in the basement -- these are tight quarters, one of the few drawbacks. You won't be disappointed.

“Great place and friendly”

Great food had wine. Staff is truly engaging. All your favorites prepared with care. Fried calamari was great and more than enough for 2.

“Everyone Gets Sick”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Eat at North End Restaurant every year for my birthday. Went to NIco. Restaurant was freezing food tasted funny. We were the only ones in restuarant. During dinner, waiters and bartender wore coats. Found out there was a gas leak. Were rushed through dinner and out the door. Waiter and brtenders followed saying they needed to go work at the owner's other restaurant because of a serious gas leak. All 5 people in party were sick all night. Never told of leak during meal. My family was in danger and they never told us. Suspect food was from the other restaurant and got cold coming over.

Had a great experience here at Nico's. There were four or us, each had a different meal and each was fabulous! The atmosphere was great. Angelo our waiter was INCREDIBLE couldn't have been any better. Thank you Angelo for such a great experience. Can't wait to go back.
