“"Great night out. Good food."”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

The service was outstanding. Every detail was spot on, without being overbearing.
The whole staff from the valet to the girls upfront were very friendly.
The food was very good. The sides were not huge like other steakhouses but were plenty and very good. Can’t comment on desert but it looked good. Overall a good experience.

“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

We had a most enjoyable dinner at Mooo. The server, Jeff, was professional and outgoing and offered suggestions that worked well for us. The waygu dumplings were "to die for" as the saying goes. The steaks were done to perfection and the sides were excellent. We would have loved dessert but didn't have room for another morsel. We ordered a lemon meringue pie and asked for it to be boxed to go. When Jeff found out we were staying at the hotel (XV Beacon) he offered to have it sent up with room service. It was delivered 5 minutes after we returned to our room. The bar is equally stellar. A "good drink" is poured here. The very personable bartender, Matt, was outstanding! We enjoyed ourselves at this place and know we'll be back on our next trip to Boston.

“Must do when in Boston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I saw a picture of the beef wellington online and decided that it was absolutely necessary to plan a special trip to Boston to experience this. It can't be as good as it looks in the picture...can it? No, it is not. It is sooo much better! Mooo is a trendy little upscale restaurant on Beacon Hill. The clientele ranges from politicians and businessmen to couples out for a special night on the town. Dress up! The setting requires some gussying! I'm certain that there has been more than one engagement ring unveiled here.
We spent some time at the bar; we were a little early for our reservation, which is not required but recommended. The sangria was really good. Once escorted to our table in a back nook, very secluded and romantic, fresh warm rolls were brought out. I don't know exactly what made them taste so good (garlic?) but they were fantastic.
The beef wellington is probably my top pick for the 'Favorite Dish Ever' award. The fresh spinach and foie gras topped tender filet is gently folded into a buttery, flaky crust and is essentially heaven on a plate. Match this entrée up with the yukon golden whipped potatoes, as I did, and you can't beat it. There are other entrée options, as well as a wide selection of sides, all a la carte. The truffle mac 'n' cheese caught my eye. I decided to save that experience as a lure to return. The wait staff was very attentive and really rounded out the entire dining experience. My husband and I travel quite extensively, and food oftentimes will drive our itinerary, so we are no stranger to wonderful dining experiences; however, I cannot speak more highly of this night out.

“Top quality steak”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

We had an excellent meal at Mooo. The steak was superb - although very large by European standards! All the side dishes were excellent, and the complimentary bread they brought at the start of the meal was delicious. Service was of an extremely high standard, and we would definitely return. The restaurant was very busy, so we recommend making a reservation.
