“Nice; but no regency club?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We stayed here for Harbor Fest....the hotel was nice, we had a corner room so we had a few extra square feet. Only real disappointment was there was no regency club (for frequent flyers basically). Instead of the regency club they offer free breakfast which was still nice, were just not breakfast eaters. They brough up a crib for our two year old, everything was within a two mile walk (or a $7.50 taxi drive). The staff was very nice....All in All, good trip.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

My husband and I passed through Boston for a couple of days. It was my second time there (my husband used to live there about 10 years ago) so we wanted to stay somewhere that would be easily accessible to/from the main attractions and areas. This hotel was perfect! It was in a great neighborhood, walking distance to shopping, public transport and restaurants. We were there a Thursday and Friday night and left early Saturday morning. The hotel is going through renovations, which we didn't really notice (other than a section of the lobby being closed off). Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I vaguely heard the construction going on across the street on Friday morning and, even though it didn't affect me because we were up early, I recognize that it may affect someone who prefers to sleep in. It wasn't loud at all though. Just thought I'd mention. Check in/out was flawless, hotel staff (Concierge) was very courteous, rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall it was awesome.

My wife and I stayed there for 1 night and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very accomodating and informative. We got breakfast the next morning, it was on time, hot and pretty good. (Although pricey) We would definently stay again!

Came into Boston for an anniversary and stayed at the Hyatt in Downtown Boston
My wife and I were welcomed by a sincere hello from each staff member we encountered.
Had a nice room at a very affordable price in the heart of downtown Boston within walking distance to its waterfront.(tall ships were in)
Check in and check out were easy and quick
Would highly recommend this hotel for its great value and staff that went above and beyond

Stayed here for business. Positives: staff is friendly/helpful. Conference food was very good (much better than typical hotel events). Place is clean and generally well kept. I heard (but didn't see it myself) that the gym was fantastic. For an event, the conference/ball rooms are very nice.

On the negative side: this is a very average hotel catering to a business customer. It's currently going through renovations (June 2012), so that has an impact on "ambiance."

The location is so-so: good if you are doing business downtown. But after dark the area (downtown crossing and china town) can be a little sketchy. It is convenient to public transportation.

This hotel could not be any more perfectly placed. Terrific bars and restaurants within walking distance. Chinatown is maybe two blocks away. The classic Cheers bar is a strong walk or short cab ride. Fenway is maybe 3 miles away.

The hotel is very modern and wonderful and close to twice the price. Great downstairs bar. The rooms all have flat screens and lots of room to roam.

Room Tip: The higher you are, the bbetter the view of downtown Boston and beyond.

Location wise , the hotel is very accessible for dining and shopping. If one doesn't mind the inconvenience of getting to two elevators to reach the hotel and the hotel is undergoing renovation.
