The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the furniture in the room room was very poorly arranged. the TV was placed to the left of the bed, and way too close. The bed was too close to the TV for me to watch from the bed and the layout left a large empty space between the bed and the window. I would strongly recommend either moving the bed or moving the TV. I found myself sitting in a very uncomfortable chair in the empty space between the bed and the window to watch television. I would also recommend moving the desk closer to some electrical outlets or installing a plug bar. housekeeping did not replace the towels I had used leaving me to use a tiny towel to dry off the second morning. Overall it wasn't a bed experience but I would have liked a more comfortable chair to watch TV from

We stayed at the Park Plaza for two nights over the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend. We chose this hotel because it is close to an event we attended in the Back Bay. The hotel is also close to Boston Common and a ton of restaurants. The staff members were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Our room was spacious and clean. We reserved a room with two double beds and were surprised to discover that it also had two bathrooms. The bathrooms were clean but dated and very small. However, as New Yorkers we are used to small bathrooms and in our opinion they added to the charm of this historic hotel. Our room was very reasonably priced and we were happy with the entire experience. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Boston.

My family just returned home from a weekend away in Boston to take in a hockey game and we had never been to this city before. I chose the Boston Park Plaza after searching for a hotel online and I'm so glad I did!

From the minute we pulled up to the entrance and were greeted by the Doorman, I was impressed. The hotel is on a quite street, with Boston Common in eyesight, just a block away. Couldn't ask for better, if you're travelling with a dog. We walked in the Common every morning and night and it was wonderful.

When we vacation, our accomodations is very important. We like luxury, but without scandalous prices! The pricepoint for this hotel is lower than some ranked with less stars. The hotel was very stately and as soon as you walk in the lobby, you feel like you've entered a scene of Gatsby! Jazz music, chandeleirs, beatiful cocktail lounge.... the scene is perfect for unwinding after a long day or meetings or a full day of touring. I will never stay anyplace else if I return to Boston. It was our first time there and we're already looking forward to another trip there this summer or next winter for another hockey game. It was largely due to the hotel that made this experience a trip we'll remember for a long time with fondness.

Room Tip: Our room had 2 bathrooms. What a delight!! Not sure if all the rooms due, but we'll request th...

Upon parking car, car attendant asked if we needed help. When we entered the lobby we were taken aback. It was crowded, busy and soooo loud. They were having a huge convention that weekend and the lobby smelled of tobacco smoke. No smoking inside but they were outside and the smell came into the lobby. This was so unfortunate as I truly believe our stay would have been great without all this disturbance. Check in smooth and we did get upgraded for only $9. a night.
My daughter and her family stayed on the 6th floor and was up all night due to the noise in the halls. We ran the air conditioner to drown out the noise. We were on the 7th floor. Unfortunately, it was just as noisy on Sunday night also. The rate was fabulous which included parking and breakfast coupon for Starbucks coffee, Danish and juice each morning in lobby (this was a $10. value each, saving us $40. for the 2 days and parking is $38. daily). The lobby was back to normal on Monday morning and it was wonderful, flowers and beautiful chandaliers. I have to give it a low rating due to the noise, crowded lobby and the sense of feeling unsafe. I don't think I would have felt this way if the convention was not in town. Rooms are dated but the beds were so comfortable and clean. Nice soap and shampoo. Staff good.

Dear Colette29,

Thank you for your comments. We sincerely apologize for the noise challenges from the in-house conference goers we hosted the weekend you were with us. This is certainly not a normal occurance. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed all the other aspects of your stay however, and hope that you'll come back to visit us again and allow us the chance to make amends.

Just got back from a weekend stay at the Plaza and was pleasantly surprised. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Room was on the smallish side but very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Good fitness center and free breakfast was very good. Located in the central part of the city and everything was within walking distance or taking the T was easy. We will stay at the Park Plaza again.

Room Tip: I'd stay on the f14thn or 15th floor.

We can not say enough about how much we enjoyed out stay. The hotel, the Jr. Suite and the bathroom were extremely clean. We loved the ambience of the hotel and would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Room Tip: Go with the Jr. Suite, lots of room

My recent stay at the Boston Park Plaza was absolutely fine. I certainly couldn't quibble with the location or the price. But I expected more than just a dated hotel. The rooms are very old fashion as you might expect of a hotel of this age. But I expected better amenities to compensate. The restaurant was great.
