“What a cool historic hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011

We stayed twice; before and after a cruise. First visit we stayed on the 9th floor in a "traditional queen room" that was great. We had two full baths (about the size of those on a cruise ship) so no fighting about shower time and the bed was extremely comfy. No room safe but coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and board. Evening room service was very prompt. Second stay we were in a 15th floor (Tower) room that had a king bed and modern bath, room safe, hair dryer, iron and board. Again very comfy. 15th floor includes comp continental breakfast (nice variety and pleasant lounge staff), free computer in lounge, daily paper, evening goodies and cash bar as well as a nice place to relax. We had a super excellent dinner in Pairings, one of the best on our entire trip. And, talk about location...one block to Public Gardens, Boston Commons and on to the Freedom Trail and other sites. Dedicated free computer in lobby for airline reservations and printing boarding passes as well as monitor showing daily flight departures. No hotel specific hotel shuttle to airport but shuttle service, town cars and many taxis quite available. In additional to Pairings, other very nice dining options available including a crazy cheap ($2.95 for burger and fries!!!) late night bar menu at McCormicks. When in Boston, will stay here again.

The Park Plaza Towers is an elegant Boston landmark with an interesting history. The hotel is perfectly situated with easy access to city parks, public transit, and the shops and restaurants of Newbury St.

I stayed at the Boston Park Plaza for 2 weeks for a summer residency for school. 2 weeks is a long time to really discover the good and bad of a place and I have to say the Boston Park Plaza was excellent. I stayed in the Towers so for the extra money it is really worth it. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast and evening snacks. The room was fantastic! The best part in my book was the level of service. The people working at the Boston Park Plaza really went out of their way to make me feel at home. As you can tell I cannot say enough positive things. It is in the heart of everything too. Loved it and I would 100% stay here and recommend...

We found this hotel and booked it immediately, after seeing the price. The cleaning staff was so incredibly friendly, as were most of the employees. They never failed to greet us and were always hard at work. The location is hard to beat, since it is so close to the beautiful Boston Public Gardens and the Arlington T-stop. The room was clean, but we could hear our neighbors' conversations through the paper- thin walls. If we were to visit Boston in e future, we would seriously consider staying here again.

We stayed at this hotel 5 nights and really enjoyed the location. It was near the start of the Freedom Trail and only 2 blocks from a Trolly Stop. The room was average, but the bathroom was beyond small. It ws TINY. Location made up for it.

Love, Love, Love this place!!
Friendly Staff, Grand lobby, Clean rooms with excellent beds, historic beauty and charm of yesteryear. Subway T-stop station 1 block away---go anywhere in the city for $2.00

Celebrated our anniversary with long weekend--so glad we chose the Park Plaza! Excellent restaurants right in the hotel. Get a Lobster roll at McCormick & Schmicks. Francisco upgraded us to Tower level room on 15th floor. Spotless large room, city view, love the double shower heads!!

Complimentary breakfast, full cash bar 5-7PM in cozy lounge area with big screen TV's and free internet for all Tower guests. Nikki, the hotel concierge, scored us (2) Red Sox tickets 2 hours prior to game time.

I don't understand the negative reviews I've read. We experienced none of that. Everything was outstanding. They made our anniversary very special. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on our next trip to Boston.

Room Tip: Try to upgrade to the 15th floor--the lounge is so nice and relaxing for breakfast and cocktails

Spent a few days there. Hotel is from walking distance to beautiful Public Gardens/Boston Common and also from Newbury street. It's close to the biginning of the Freedom Trail (wich I recommend doing). The main hall is simply beautiful with its high ceiling. There is no wi-fi in the rooms, but you can just lie aroud in the lobby( lots of comfy sofas). The rooms are refiurbished, but you can definitly figure out that the hotel has been aroud for quite a while! Bed very comfortable to my taste.
