“Decent Hotel in a Good Part of Town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2012

I stayed here in February with my wife and 6 year old. The hotel is around 15 minutes taxi ride from Boston Logan Airport, and is in a good location in Boston. The hotel is 38 stories, with the Concierge Lounge on the 28th floor. Initially we were given a room on the 28th floor, which I requested, but when we arrived it turned out these rooms were not yet renovated, and were very tired looking. I asked for a different room and was given a much nicer, recently renovated room on the 24th floor, where we stayed for a week.

The rooms are reasonably spacious, with the usual comfortable Marriott beds. I found the rooms a little noisy, with the doors between rooms letting sound through from adjoining rooms, and the window letting a bit too much noise through from the outside for my liking, despite being on the 24th floor. I spend half my life in a hotel in London and it is much quieter than this. However the staff were helpful and courteous, and the food at Champions, bar one night, was very nice.

For Europeans travelling to this hotel, bear in mind that typically the US does not provide free alcohol in the Concierge Lounge, and this is no exception. The food from the Concierge Lounge was reasonable, but not exceptional.

For tourists the hotel is good. The Boston bus tours stop right outside, and tickets are available from the lobby. The Concierges are helpful and highly knowledgeable of the area, perfect for Boston n00bs like us!

Room Tip: Choose a floor below 27, as these seem to be refurbished.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights 02/21/12 - 02/23/12 in room 2001. It is conveniently located to multiple shopping areas via sky-walks so you do not need to go outside during inclement weather. Lots of stores and restaurants, plus Newbury Street (outside) is a short distance from the hotel. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful; parking valet, check-in, restaurant, housekeeping etc. Our room was very clean and quiet with a great view of the city including the distant harbor. Only negative comment is that the water temperature in the shower was just lukewarm, it never got hot. Maybe there was an issue on our floor? I forgot to mention it at checkout.
I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the city, ask for a room on the upper level.

I spent several weeks here in January and February on a business trip. The location is great because the hotel is connected to one shopping mall and another is across the street. There are a number of restaurants nearby as well. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating when we asked to switch rooms. The rooms are in the process of being remodeled and we stayed in one of the remodeled rooms. I found the rooms to be just average even after the remodel. Overall it is a good hotel for business travel, but if you are looking for better than average hotel rooms I would look somewhere else.

This hotel is in a great spot in Boston Copley square. It is attached to shopping by glass hallway which is great for all types of weather. I did like that they gave us "connecting" rooms, we had come in overnight for my daughters 16th birthday so it was great in the sense that the girls could shop (though very expensive shops here) and did not have to go outside, this is a very upscale mall and very safe. The only resturant is Champs - a SPORTS bar - so sick of sports bars - NO nice restuarant attached but plenty in the area. The lounge at this hotel use to be unbelievable, they had some of the best bands - I know four couples who actually booked bands that they had seen from this hotel. It was a very classy upscale place to come as couples but that is gone - sports bar took over most of that floor and wireless cafe for Starbucks coffee drinkers - so sad - NO entertainment -. If traveling on business stay here. If coming with girl friends go somewhere where they are closer to bars/resturants w/music, there's Copley Hotel accross the street, the Lenox not far. Sad - so much gone from the area. The Palm resturant was just gone, the Fairmont Copley restaurant closed for renocvations, Morton's Back Bay closed the week we went for good - you would have to go down to the Sea Port area for that. If coming to Boston the SeaPort area is the new and upcoming end of town, Mortons, Delfrisco's, Legal Seafood test kitchen, etc.. in the spring/summer that end is where the concerts are at the outside Pravilion.

Room Tip: If traveling with children one of the few hotels that do "connecting" rooms - you can requ...

My family and I have been going to this hotel since I was a kid. They often offer reasonable rates and the location can't be beat. They have the Copley Shopping Center connected to it and all the Prudential Shopping is connected. They have a great sports bar in the middle of the hotel, good place to go watch the games. Also an outstanding breakfast buffet. Very short walk to Newbury Street and wonderful restaurants.
The rooms are very nice, and the beds are cozy.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our stay here was excellent. The room was clean and average for a hotel room, but the view was amazing!!! The hotel is conveiniently located to EVERYTHING and I loved how you can access it from the mall. We got the "stay for breakfast" package and it was well worth it. Breakfast was excellent with so many choices. The best part of all though was when we went to leave in the morning and found our car battery to be dead, the staff at the front desk and at the door were amazing. Mo, the front doorman, helped us to get out battery charged and we were on our way.

Room Tip: I did request a lower floor room but did not get one. I was dissapointed because I am afraid of hei...
