This place used to be a women's residence for the YWCA. It's now a hostel/hotel and a fantastic place for anyone on a budget. For about 1/3 the cost of a hotel, I got a single room with private bath, free Wifi, a flat-screen TV and a comfortable double bed. There are also basic single rooms with a shared bath - I peaked into the shared bath and it was very clean and spacious. The place has a HUGE lounge with a fireplace and picture windows, a mezzanine with computers and a library and a large lobby with couches and postings of goings-on in and around Boston. Breakfast is included - and consisted of a large spread - eggs, home-fries, hot cereal, bacon, sausage, pancakes, a make-your-own-waffle-bar, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, coffee, juice and more. Three blocks walk to the subway...a real budget-traveler's dream!
