“World class museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Really good collection of Impressionists. Lots of other areas of the museum were also excellent (Ancient art, etc). Friendly staff, good facilities, restaurants, etc.

“Worth a long visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

A good idea to plan two visits of around 4 hours each. The museum is extensive. A phenomenal collection of Ancient Egyptian art, and the Impressionist gallery is equally impressive. Don't forget to stop by the contemporary collection too.

“Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

I have not been here for many years. They have a gorgeous new wing. We only had a few hours and mostly roamed the American side of things. Also took in fascinating postcard exhibit. Perhaps someday I'll return with more time.

“Well worth a visit”

Spent a whole day here and would return again when in Boston. Varied exhibits from pre history to contemporary art set in a magnificent gallery- no expense spared here!

“Totally enjoyable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

I must confess I had never been to a Museum of Fine Arts, the closest thing I had visited was the Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, but it really can't be compared to it.
I loved the way everything was arranged in every room, my special favorites were the Egyptian and Greek exhibitions, but everything was just great, with many paintings, sculptures, hieroglyphics, etc.
Oh! There was also an "Aphrodite and the Gods of Love" temporary exhibition which I think was my true favorite, but I do believe it was temporary.
