Owner description: Spend a couple of hours or the whole day at this hands-on museum that has something exciting for everyone. Touch a lizard, watch chickens hatching, see lightning being created and enjoy hundreds of other exhibits, where you can't help but learn something new about science and technology. Hold onto the edge of your seat at the IMAX movie theater, which costs extra.

“Don't leave town without a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We traveled to Boston for a long weekend, so saved our visit to the Museum of Science for a weekday in hopes of lower crowd levels. We, along with several busloads of school students, arrived as the Museum of Science opened and we enjoyed easy access all morning to the popular shows. For me, the "wow" factor was the bioengineering demonstration of digitized medical stickers to collect patient information. For someone else in the group, it was the updated electricity show that now includes sound generators in addition to the light generators. The shipwreck/hurricane exhibit with the wind chamber was very popular with the children. We used our Boston CityPass for admission, making this an exceptionally good value. Thumbs up for Museum of Science and for the Boston CityPass.

“Fun for ALL family”

Only Museum all of us would happily agree to go. Gives you a thirst to know more, to come back again. Real hands-on experience. Adapted to different "layers" of knowledge. Great fun!

“Plan enough time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

There is so much to do and see at the MOS that it can be a little overwhelming. I'd recommend looking online at the daily schedule, first and aim for particular "shows" then figure out what you want to see before and after the shows--this helps break up the "wandering" factor that can drive kids (and/or parents/chaperones) crazy.
You can re-enter, with a hand-stamp, so if you have little ones, or you are staying nearby, you can also do some in the morning and some in the afternoon.

“Fun with Grandchildren”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Makes a weekend in Boston a delight with grandchildren. Easy to get to, entertainment for entire family, great family style dining. A somewhat pricey adventure for a family but worth it!
