This is a great tour as many have said but one reason I like going is getting there. I always take the MBTA Commuter Boat service. For $3 round trip (or $1.50 one-way) you can go from Long Wharf to Charlestown Navy Yard and back. From the dock at Navy Yard it is a quick walk to the USS Constitution and Museum. Taking the boat you get a real Boston, maritime experience at a very reasonable price. It was overcast the last time we were there but the views are still nice.

The USS Constitution is a lovely old ship that is lovingly looked after. The tour is carried out by sailors themselves - but all the wars seemed to be with the British!!

We then went over to the USS Cassin Young - one of the volunteers was changing bulbs and took us all around the ship - my husband who is an engineer was thrilled - the guy was so kind.

Had a great morning here and its all free!

My son and I were told by a local that this was the best attraction in Boston and its FREE!

A five minute walk from the T, you are rewarded with a tour of the oldest commissioned war ship in the world. The tours are given by Naval officers who are clearly proud to serve on this beautiful ship.

Well worth your time and did I mention its FREE!

Me and my boyfriend just returned from visiting Boston. While finishing off the Freedom Trail for the 2nd day we stopped off to see the USS Constitution. What a beautiful ship! Our tour guide was fantastic and very informative. He took us below deck where they have the cannons set up and the captains quarters. Then we went another floor down and saw where the crew slept. The boat is well kept up. I definately recommend this tour if you enjoy history!!
