I visited th Old State House as part of a Freedom Trail Tour we booked at www.thefreedomtrail.org. We did not enter the building, but our guide gave us a brief history of the building's significance. I recommend doing an organized Freedom Trail tour and then visiting the Old State House following the tour if you decide to view the interior. This will enable you to have an understanding of this amazing building's place in American history! The entrance for the subway's (T) State stop is located in a side entrance of the Old State House. Enjoy!

The Old State House is the oldest surviving building in Boston, having weathered fires and storms and even the molasses disaster. Featuring a collection of artifacts from the American Revolution, including John Hancock's snazzy velvet coat, this building is a history buff's dream!

Admission is 5 dollars for adults, 4 dollars for students and seniors, and a dollar for those under 18. I find that more than fair, considering the money goes to keeping the site standing. They recently finished a large renovations project, as well!

My fiance and I love Boston so much that we decided the best way to celebrate it and our future was to choose a historical landmark for the ceremony site, and the Old State House was my first choice. I'm sure that you'll love this beautiful, historic building as well!
