“Very Fun Tour”

On the surface, this looks like a fairly standard tourist outing - a way to see the city with a guide who points out most of the significant sites and provides some history/background. Of course, this one is a little different than most due to the amphibious vehicles, but that in itself wouldn't be enough for me to make this a really memorable experience.

What made this tour for me and my family was the guide himself. I don't know if all of the guides are as entertaining as ours was, but the consistently great reviews here make me suspect that they are. Our guide was very funny, not just with the canned jokes that he rolls out several times a day, but mostly with his ability to inprovise and interact with his tour group. He could easily make a living as a stand-up comic, and he kept us laughing for the entire tour. That plus the opportunity for my six year old son and myself to actually take the wheel of the duck while cruising down the Charles River made this a highlight of our recent trip to Boston.

Absolutely recommend the duck tour in Boston. What fun.....had a great driver...Mr. Duct Tape.

“Worth the Ride and Price!”

We had Jailbird George and he was great! He was funny and the tour was worth the time to do! We went on it a couple of weeks ago while on vacation. It was informative and lots of fun! Yes, it was a "touristy" thing to do, but there we a lot of people from Boston who were on it too, and we all enjoyed it! My son even sat in the driver's seat while in the Charles River. Jailbird George (Phil) made the ride worth while!

We bought tickets online, 5 days ahead of the day we wanted to go. That way we didn't have to waste time going in the morning of our 1 day stay, to get tickets. Reserved for a 6pm time. Did this so, that after walking all day we would have a relaxing drive later in the day. Glad we did. It was a very hot day & we really enjoyed this. Nice cool breeze when driving thru the city & fun riding in the river. Driver/guide was knowledgeable & fun. Glad we did it. We took the one that started at the Prudential Center. They take a picture of you & family or friends, with the duck in the backgroung. & the email you an eltronic version of it. But they also try to sell you copies of it at the end of the tour. & then they send you a couple more emails trying to get you to go the website & buy the pictures there. But we do have the digital picture in the email.

the boston duck tours are hillarious, you can't stop laughing, but here is one tip if you ever go on them don't sit at the back, and if you do be ready to be splashed with water. QUACK QUACK
