a most beautiful spot in the heart of the city. the icy pond, bridge and bare weeping willows are lovely. mrs. mallard and her ducklings is a must see.
I recently spent the morning meandering around the gardens while my husband attended a bussiness conference. The gardens are beautiful, the fountains are tranquil, and the Make Way for Ducklings statues cannot be missed. The swan boat rides were another inexpensive treat. Such a gem in a beautiful city.
Walk at your own pace look at the beautiful fountains and greenery and flowers. See some excellent street performers. Don't forget to check out the ducklings!
Such a wonderful green area right in the middle of downtown Boston. Since we were there in winter, we couldn't experience all that it has to offer, but could easily imagine how fantastic it would be in the spring/summer/fall. Along with Boston Common, it's a great connector between different sections of town and provides an enjoyable walk between destinations. Loved seeing the "Make Way for Ducklings" sculpture as that was a favorite book of my children.
Much like Boston Common, this is a great park to take a stroll, have a picnic, or just enjoy the day. During my trip to Boston, we experienced about 3 inches of snow, which made the area even more attractive (and made for some good photo ops).
