“Great place for a run, walk or fly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

I love Castle Island! I went for a job there on day in early June. It was very hot, but being by the water was cool and motivating. It's a great park for kids, seniors and people who want to jog or inline skate. I've also spent many pleasant evenings flying kites there with kids.

“So pretty”

Worth the trip for a picnic, or ice cream, fly a kite, run around, etc! Great for kids / dogs! Bring a picnic, get icecream there!

“Spectacular views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

There is a nice walking path around the castle and there is always a magnificent view. Keep in mind that the castle is seasonal and isn't open year round. Lots of grassy areas to fly a kite on, play fetch with your dog or read a book in the sun.

Dirty and boring. Castle was closed. So Nothing really to do. Small playground but nothing much more. Better of spending time somewhere else on south end boston

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

We have been going to castle island for years. My Dad loved this place he passed away Feb12 and missed the Grand opening of Sullivan's he loved coming for there hot dogs.So we all got together and went as a Family and had a Hot Dog for Dad. Place is great rich in history, great place to walk, people watch, the little ones love watching the planes fly into Logan airport. Pet friendly so remember to bring the Dog. Great place to go relax read a book and grab a bite to eat.
