Owner description: Relive the Kennedy era in this dynamic combination museum and library, where your visit starts with a short film and then leaves you on your own to explore a series of fascinating exhibits, including the Kennedy-Nixon debate, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the space program, 1960s campaign paraphernalia and displays about Jacqueline and other Kennedy family members. The striking, I.M. Pei-designed building overlooks the water and the Boston skyline.

“Must see for anyone interested in history/govt./politics”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2014 NEW

Visited during the very slow tourist season: just before Christmas week. Perfect timing. Easy parking. Local college was not in session, so no traffic.
Excellent tour guide. Guide was helpful, but not necessary because all exhibits are concisely documented. JFK had a relatively short public life. The museum addresses all of the key points. Make sure you check out the CIA's psychological profile of Fidel Castro, around the time of the Cuban missile crisis. He was truly the original "hope and change" candidate. There was little on his legislative programs while in the Oval Office, especially his initiatives that were turned into actuality by his successor, LBJ.
The cool part was that I lived through almost all of these events, as a distant observer. Nice café. Good store. Outstanding location on the Boston waterfront.

“A walk through history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2014 NEW

A wonderful homage to a great man. Saw television clips and was reminded of what a terrific speaker he was. Permanent exhibits will be closed for a few months for restoration - check the web site.

For anyone who is a big fan of JFK, this gives extraordinary insight into the man and the politician. I only wish I had more time in there. I will definitely visit again.

This museum captured wonderful memories for one of the most respected US Presidents of all time. It was an honor to have the opportunity to tour this. I would highly recommend it.

“Memories of JFK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2014

A mixture of the professional and personal side of JFK. Many interesting photos and videos from throughout the President's short life. Unfortunately for us, his boat had been taken out of the water the week before our visit. It is easy to visit the Library from downtown Boston by public transportation.
